I take a deep breath, drink a glass or two of red wine, kiss my wife, hug my kids, watch a really stupid comedy on TV, and not think about work until halfway through my Monday morning commute. My rationale is that the problems will be there and I can't do anything about them until I get there. No need to worry about them. While I'm at work, I prepare for the next day's issues, but my days off are mine to enjoy.
I try to plan ahead as much as possible. I am not a morning person so Sunday evenings are the best time for me to do it. I try to be as prepared as I can for the upcoming week and then I write a list to make sure I have all my I's dotted and T's crossed
Need to plan for the week to make it smoother And make sure to get rest that day. Meditation and yoga are two things I do
Sunday scaries can be the worst. In my experience I’ve found it helpful to sit for an hour or so, read any documents that can give me a head start, think through what questions I need to ask clients and what questions they’ll have for me. Plus, I like to add time to my calendar to build in time to think and respond to events, instead of just reacting to them. Hope that helps.
Take a long bath and then immediately fall asleep in the tub. My way of escaping from the reality of the upcoming week lol. In all seriousness, I just try to plan everything out that I can.
