So I’ve been at the same company (it used to be an agency building MVP products for other companies but it switch over to a startup in the fintech space). I have only been moved around from a project manager position to a marketing manager one. I’ve been there for 5 years this nov and I moved to nyc for this position. Im currently applying to jobs and it’s been a good 2 months without any initial calls. I feel like I got lucky getting this job and I want to stay in nyc.

Feel like audit scheduling is always done on a knifes edge in that the timeline and staff schedules are enough so that if everyone works 60 hour weeks and no issues are identified then it can be filed on time. But even small things that increase the work can wildly throw off the schedule and cause hours to skyrocket for the staff on the job. No real point here, just ranting.

I started a new job recently and then had my PTSD seriously triggered, plus a panic attack. Felt so on edge and low on emotional resources for over a week that I wasn’t myself and apparently really rubbed a few people the wrong way so I was called in for a talking to 😣. I let people know there were some personal things going on, but didn’t mention the PTSD—very unsure if that’s something to share, or if I’d be judged for it or... I don’t even know.
