Started working LinkedIn a couple of weeks ago as a contractor but just got reached out by Microsoft for a Sr PM position and passed the initial interview with the Hiring Manager. Now I’m booked for the final round of interviews and I don’t know how to feel.

Chief of Staff roles, yea or nay?
I just got an offer from Accenture Switzerland, Total Comp 170K with 140K base. I have 6YOE as IT consultant and 9YOE in total. I am just upset that they did not offer me a relocation package of 20k because the cost of living in Zurich for a family with 1 child is crazy! Should I insist for a sign on bonus before accepting the offer?

You have to do what’s best for you and your future!!
No decision to make now. Kill the interview, get the offer. Then leave and never look back. FTE position has many more benefits vs TVC
++ to take it
Definitely a go for it opportunity but always look for what matters you the most priority wise. Sometimes it’s very hard to leave a comforting job and current role so vet it carefully… it really doesn’t matter whether the new is a FAANG or a small start up as ultimately WLB and priorities supersedes over everything. Given you are in contracting job a FTE seems more secure job here !!
Take it!
Always forward never backward, go take the offer and move on!
Can I DM you to ask about the interview process? I’m pretty interested to hear your experience
Sure, send away!
LFG!
I would take it in a heartbeat
LinkedIn is a Microsoft property, so it is likely that moves like this are expected.
Is there an opportunity to convert to employee at LinkedIn? Benefits are a big thing to go without, and you sound comfortable with your spot otherwise. If MSFT is making an offer elsewhere then there may be an opportunity for a similar offer staying within LI.
Congratulations. Take it and don't look back.
Contractor gigs are temporary. If it’s the right full time role, then take it. Congratulations!
How many years of experience do you have?
100% Take the Microsoft FTE role. Excellent pay, benifits, learning environment - stocks, and a great name on your CV. (and they own LinkedIn, so you can go work there as a FTE later if you really want to). Loved my Microsoft years... excellent experience.
BTW, LinkedIn is Microsoft, so there might be internal regulations preventing you from doing it.
Do what is best for you. The company would do the same, if you were not the right fit for the role. If you need more help weighing your decisions, I'm always happy to chat. Best place to reach me is on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alanjstein/
Don't count your chickens before they hatch. There are likely 3-4 other canddiates in the mix. But if you do get the role, do what is best for you. Don't burn bridges. If you need help navigatign the decision, I'd be happy to help. Just reach out to me on LinkedIn where I check more often then here. https://www.linkedin.com/in/alanjstein/
Hey, guys, I am a recent college grad and I am trying to find a job as a business analyst and eventually go into a PM in tech. Do I need to first become a business analyst and then pivot to PM or just go for PM?
