PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?
My wife has her joining date extended from Randstad and no joining date has been provided. What are the chances of her offer getting revoked. She has around 1 year of experience in HR. She got to know about this just on the last day of her notice period. She doesnt have any other offer as she didnt expect the joining date to get extended. Randstad. If anyone is open for hiring, please let me know. I can share it with her. Morningstar Tata Consultancy Accenture JPMorgan Chase Wells Fargo Infosys

After 11 years you are going to jump ship? 8 pages tells me that you're not ready to be a manager, no offense.
Nothing you/anyone have done deserves 8 pages. If you can't tell me your story in 1 page, get outta here!
Go with one page, and include a "representative projects" section for each company. Make a new resume for each role you apply for, and plug in the projects that speak best to the job posting. Include a note at the bottom that additional project information/experience is available upon request
Slight hijack but relevant: when is it acceptable to have a resume break the one page mark?
First, try really hard to stay at 2 pages. Cut out anything you don't want to do again. Then, get rid of anything older than about 6 years old. For every line item that remains, read it and say "resulting in. . . ". Then include only what you say the result is.
Every bullet point on my resume is structured as "Achieved W, an X improvement over Y, resulting in Z outcome". For each role, I sum up the role in one broad overarching single line statement to highlight main job description.
This is my 2nd stint. Been with current firm last 5 years. I had never paid attention to my resume because always got satffed/hired through n/w. I am up this year but want to keep my options open. 5 years back my 3 page resume with collage GPA got me in but now going pro means time to get guidance from all the folks higher up
You've been staff at 2 companies for more than 5 years each?
First stint was at non consulting firm so had to come in at same level or I would say one level below. That took the career trajectory down for a while, but got my consulting experience. In hindsight that was sacrifice worthy of lost time
Pay me $100 and a week and I'll cut it down to a 1 page
Two pages max
Your resume should focus in the theme you want to convey.
If you want to continue doing tech work...go techy. If not focus on biz skills
You should organize the sections if your resume by concepts within each conpany rather than chronologically.
You need to list projects that support your theme....dont list the ones that dont
I'm with D1 - an 8page resume indicates a lack of management presence and an overall inability to filter for what is important. Keep it to one page. Highlight what will be most interesting for the interviewer to know. Rest can be highlighted in interview or left out. Also, you can include more detail on your LinkedIn page, and include the link on your resume with your contact info.
One page. use online tool to make your resume pretty and can fit more stuff in one page
techie skills. I am in analytics and info management and been on healthcare dwbi projects. I know as we go up our industry, people and program management and sales skills are important. Just want to understand how much focus I need to have on tech experience
If I was CEO of company than my one page resume was enough as whole world would know rest of story. In tech I can't put my life in one page
1 page. Focus on industry expertise
I agree with D1 - if you have 8 pages, you are not there yet
Great pointers guys. All who were quick to jump to conclusions that I am not there yet just want to state his is same judgmental nature of some of sr managers pushing me to get out. I made it vary clear that I am looking at better ways to highlight my diverse experience spanning across tech and industry and looking for advise. Being techie I am trying to understand way other big 4 are staffing managers or what they look their business goals. Is it deep technical experience to solutionize matter or they are more inclined to industry to solve specific problems. Deloitte has clear distinction in technical vs industry roles and set expectations. Not every big4 has that.
