I would email her saying “I received your card, thanks so much, it meant a lot to me”
I always give handwritten thank you notes

I am very generous with my paralegal and assistant. I absolutely do not care if I get a thank you note and getting one or not won't change how I operate. Imagine a lot of lawyers feel the same way. Just keep being awesome; that's all I ask!
If you’re in different offices, a call is just as good!

A handwritten thank you card will go a long way.
I really appreciate a nice email. Really all it takes. If they’re the kind to send a thoughtful gift, they likely aren’t the kind to expect bells and whistles in a response.
Just send an email! If they were kind enough to send a gift like that, they don’t care about you going out of your way in return.
A heartfelt thank you and a hug - lawyers don’t get many of those!
I think it would be really nice to let this person know how much their gift meant to you, whether that be in person, via a note, or whatever else you feel will convey your genuine gratitude. I bet your attorney would be so happy to know a gift they put a lot of thought into was a hit :) just because some of these commenters wouldn’t expect anything in return, doesn’t mean the person you’re talking feels the same. A little extra effort can really go a long way.
I gave them a call yesterday morning! Unfortunately we are not in the same office so I couldn’t stop by in person which I normally would have done. Thanks for the advice everyone! So much appreciation for awesome attorneys!
