Thinking of getting a credit card to share most spending with my Partner. I currently have chase sapphire reserve and she has chase preferred. Maybe shared Amex platinum?

What's the point in having both CSR and Amex platinum?

like

Ok … I will say it. If you are not married, you should not make them a signer on your account. Relationships end … sometimes in a nasty way that no one saw coming. In a marriage, there is a court to help the separation

Look at the discussion below your question about someone’s parents overly using their credit card

smart

I was thinking we could share a high cost card with an extra user and then have cheaper cards for personal use

Why not stay in the chase ecosystem? Maybe get an airline or hotel card that is backed by chase. Or have her refer you to sapphire preferred so you both get more points?

Second for D1’s point. Amex plat and CSR costs a lot per annum, stay with CSR and add your partner as a sub card user?

Amex has better lounges, though… if that matters more to you, then switch over.

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

Seeing how 401k’s, ira’s etc..are mostly based in stocks. What happens if we have another Great Depression and the stock market crash’s. Even if you have Real estate investments, if ppl can’t pay rent like with Corona, that’s not really helpful. So what are other ways in addition to those mentioned is there to help secure you into old age?

Hi All. What is the best way to allocate 25 Lakh INR in savings into different investments to maximize returns. I recently moved out of India so Tax rebate is not a consideration for me. I already have 6 lakh plus invested in PF and MFs but I want to invest more as my money is getting depreciated in the savings bank account.

I also have an education loan with balance of 7 lakhs which I am planning to repay in lumpsum as there is no tax exemption now.

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Not sure if this is the right bowl but hoping to get some insight. I have a lot of student debt, and am considering refinancing with First Republic bank to get a (marginally) lower interest rate. However, their version of refinancing student loans has changed in the last couple years so now they offer you a personal line of credit. Is it a bad idea to refinance with a line of credit vs a regular student loan refinancing?
