I go to a meeting most nights.
Exercise has been a godsend for me. Physically exhausting myself is great for my mental health. I try to get to the gym 6 days a week and walk whenever the weather cooperates. Reading is another big part of my daily routine. Whenever I'm at my most anxious, I find focusing on a book is a great way to calm myself down.
Shooting. It is the absolutely only thing in my life that brings me the slightests ounce of happiness. The only time I don't wish to get hit by a truck or meteor is when I'm shooting.
Performing arts. It's diverging I'd always been interested in as a kid and now i can actually afford classes.
What the heck? It's something* not it's diverging...
Anything to improve myself. I think of all of this as a project to get to the best version of myself. So working out for my body. Chess and reading for my mind.
I also just generally try to be outside as much as possible. I picked up rucking which has been great since it gives me time to think, enjoy nature, and get a good workout in.
Aside from working a program and staying in touch with my fellows, it's absolutely exercise and getting outside everyday. It's such a game changer for me, gets me out of my head and into my body, into the present. There's nothing like it.
Making sober friends has been the biggest thing for me. I go to book clubs and church activities and meet up groups and the gym. basically, finding people who do things I enjoy doing. And of course, going to meetings.
Rising Star
I don't have a ton of spare time, but beyond regular AA meetings and my hobbies I do for fun (which sometimes make sobriety harder) I find that:
1) the gym, with a mindset of one day at a time as opposed to having a specific goal in mind, and
2) walking my dog, who I can be of service to on a time line other than my own. It's not about me - gotta drop what I'm doing and take care of someone else's needs.
Exercise and health. I think my obsessive rumination on alcohol has been displaced with obsessive calorie counting and hardcore workouts. It’s fun where I can build a community and allows me to channel my “creativity” in cooking) and competitive nature

Anything where I’m out in nature. My problems get a lot smaller when I remember how big the universe is.
I got a Pelaton and started doing cycle classes every day as well as eating much healthier and watching what I put in my body. It has really helped me to stay on track and take care of myself.
