What is prorata rule for IRAs? I have an IRA at Vanguard that has grown pretty large over last 10 years ( got lucky with tech stocks). I have a separate small Fidelity IRA from a previous employer that they created to roll over my pension benefits. That second IRA is not “activated” (Fidelity has a button saying activate IRA but have not clicked it since was not sure if there are any implications to doing this). Assuming ok to have 2 IRAs, and no tax implications until retirement. Correct?
