Our match vests immediately, but you don't get any match until a year and a few months of working here (it activates Feb 1st and July 1st). So if I start march '16, then my match starts July '17 and vests immediately when it starts
That ACN stock purchase plan really pays off. I used it to put 35% down on a house. It might be our best benefit.
I've heard Bain's profit sharing is outrageously good. Can a Bainee confirm?
@mk1 what is the vest period?
A2 is correct. If you interned at Accenture and go full time, you get 100% match the first July or Jan that fulfills a year
Ours is a free 4% regardless of what we put in, then 50% of the first 6%. 3 year vesting (which starts for interns as well, BTW)
I guess the grass is always greener on the other side
OP that's true about the grass - comparatively Big 4 retirement contributions are are zilch especially compared to MBB and some industry jobs - but many workers get zero retirement contributions and our grass looks pretty green to them.
BA1- is the match provided monthly or annually?
Kpmg does pension too. 401K is Its 50% upto 5%
D2 - it's provided annually. Usually close to the beginning of each calendar year.
ACN4 how's that work?
50% match up to 6% + they took away our pension this year and replaced with a 4% automatic company contribution.
We do 25% up to 6% and that's it 😭😭😭
There is a $7500 maximum to ESPP as well as the 10% limit. Doesn't include RSUs or other MD comp structure. Buying a 🏠 with my gains
The greater of 100% up to 3,000 or 50% up to $9,000. Unless you're fully contributing, you're leaving free money on the table.
That's actually a lot worse than I thought Google would offer. Guess the stock options and inflated salary make up for it
I bought my first shares at about 22 bucks... damn I'm getting old
A8, I'm a SM. I make quite a bit more than $150k.
50% match up to 6%
No pension, but there is annual contribution based on firm performance to the 401K.
ACN - that's pretty good.
Other than EY does any consulting firms still do pensions?
Ey does 25% up to 6% for years 1-3. Then year 4 onwards it's 50% up to 6%. And we still have a defined benefit plan (pension)
So at risk of derailing the thread, if people say they're maxing out their 401k-- they mean the IRS limit? Or the max amount the firm will match?
