What should I do?
I left a big 4 (company 1) joined another company after (company 2). Then once I joined company 2, another offer came in which was really great from company 3; took it and company 2 was happy for me. I still have really good relationships at company 1 however the partner I worked for is spreading rumours and lying to people saying I got fired from company 2. Best part is that I called him before I joined company 3… what can i do in this situation?

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again. 6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
