Also incorrect 👆🏻Bonuses are taxed one of two ways. First, as supplemental income which is 25% flat rate and then they are also subject to state, social security and medicare on top of that. OR second, they can be added into a paycheck and taxed normally.
6 hours and three condummm... Oh wait biggest BONUS...
What's a bonus?
$300 after slaving away solo on a hell project for 4 months. Not worth it, I hate everyone and everything.
$11k thought it was fake
$54k signing bonus. In-house agency. No bullshit.
The thing about bonuses is they're not great rewards. Uncle Sam gets 46%, with the higher tax you can only enjoy dumping it into 401k.
But seriously. What's a bonus?
$0. Actually not even $0, that line does not even exist.
MS1, what's your role? Damn
LOL
I want to know what all these people did to get their bonus!?!? Was it just "thx for the hard work, here's a lil sumpthin" or more of "you sold in $10m of new work on your account so here's $100k"
$10K on $100K salary, 10 years ago. Haven't seen one since.
$6k (before tax) on a $40k salary but I only got it because they didn't/couldn't give me a raise because I hadn't been there long enough.
22k
I cashed the check and didnt ask a single question about why
$10k
But to be clear... client side blows and it wasn't worth it for the soul sucking work environment/culture
$22,000
My bonuses were taxed at exactly 45%. Idk where you're getting your 28% from. ACD is correct re: how it works. I also get the most taken out in my W4.
A pat on the back
