Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

Compared to EYP, EY PJP is very much it’s own firm for now (they have separate offices, and run recruitment separately too). Might change in a few years though.
A lot of their top brass is still there, and they mainly lost some middle level talent (i.e. Associates) to Mck.
From an outsiders perspective it kinda looks like EY bit off more than they could chew. The amount of autonomy they still have, the fact the acquisition pushed out the internal EYP team into a boutique (now OC&C), and the fact they keep their name (instead of subsuming into EYP) is all very interesting.
They’re still an affiliate of EYP - and given that all the brands will change with NewCo, I kinda get the decision to hold off so it doesn’t happen twice
Good at pure play strategy, decent player if you can’t get into MBB. Higher comp but less international brand recognition vs other T2s. Lost most of their top talent to Bain/McKinsey when they merged with EY.
They’re structured into 3 different areas: Corporate, Government and Deals.
Corporate is largely strategy focused, with some limited transformation / implementation work. No specific sector focus but stronger in some areas.
Government is mostly policy and negotiations work.
Deals is all private equity buyside and sellside commercial DD.
Very strong reputation in Australia but only in executive and board circles.
