Hello Fishes, please let me know how are projects in BCMA department under ICG group in city bank. I have an offer from city which I have not yet accepted considering many negative reviews of work culture in City. However HR said I am not sure about other departments but you can check for BCMA dept with friends or on LinkedIn. Please help.

I highly recommend Central Texas Bar-BQ at 8101 Airport Blvd. near Hobby Airport it is delicious, has good size portions, and a comfort food atmosphere. The pork ribs are falling off the bone and the brisket is on point. It’s only open during the week from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Aiko sushi on Washington, Zoa Moroccan is great fast casual Moroccan food, local foods is great deli / cafe food (get the crunchy chicken sandwich), mico’s hot chicken in the heights, el tiempo (ninfa’s on navigation just changed their chef recently I think and it hasn’t hit the same), Merida, huynh, rodeo goat, burger joint, da gama (Portuguese Indian fusion), riva’s (classic local Italian food—go around the holidays they decorate like crazy), kin dee Thai, gypsy poet pizza, triola’s, Mary’z, khyber, govinda’s (buffet style Indian that alternates vegan and vegetarian, connected to a temple), fat cat creamery, MAD, xochi, brennan’s, hando, lua viet
I've had most of these and would agree. Only alteration I would make is Cavatore for Rivas.
I go to Rivas a good bit because I like the huge portions but Cavatore quality is much higher and it's the same price.
Kata Robata - best sushi in town.
Himalaya - little bit of a dive, but great Indian/Pakistan food
Reggie Hut - a dive, but good Jamaican food
Hamsa - great Isreal food
This should get you started
Aga’s
lol
What BBQ joint did you go to and what did you order? As an FYI, Texas doesn't do pulled pork well. Most of my friends from the NE grew up with pulled pork so that's their go to BBQ but TX BBQ is brisket, ribs, sausage, and smoked turkey.
Will also note that even we can't agree on the best BBQ because we all have different tastes.
Also for a unique take on BBQ/Asian fusion, try out Loro. I always leave happy and love taking my visiting friends there. It was co-creation by the chefs who run Uchi Sushi and Franklin's BBQ (famous Austin BBQ spot).
As an ex-New Yorker who has had sushi not only there but in Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, and Beijing (among other places), Kata Robata here in Houston is my all-time #1. Uchi is also excellent but is more experimental to Kata’s traditional.
Coltivare is a killer date spot with great food at surprisingly reasonable prices. B&B Butchers great steakhouse. Brennan’s for high end creole food. BCN and MAD for bougie Spanish tapas. Ninfa’s and El Tiempo for Tex Mex (they have competing claims as THE original Tex Mex restaurant in the world). Musaafer for high end Indian food.
Rakken Ramen really solid ramen. Torchy’s for traditional fast food tacos, Velvet Taco for weird experimental ones. Le Colonial for fancy Vietnamese.
There’s more, but that’s a start!
Bbq: Corkscrew, Texas Chocolate Craftory (i think it’s tejas chocolate and bbq now), Truth, Pinkerton’s. Killen’s i feel their quality has gone down over the years.
Tex-Mex: og ninfas on navigation, candente, Flora
Sushi: Shun (RIP - but go to their parent restaurant Nippon), Handies, Neo ($$$ worth every penny), sushi miyagi
Aga’s, Nancy’s Hustle, Bludorn, STQ, Toasted Coconut, Hugo’s, Tris, Squabble, Tiny Champions, Pho Thanh Long, Les Bag’et, China Garden, Tim Ho Wan, Mala Sichuan.
Lots to try, just have to drive everywhere lol.

My favorite Jamaican spot is cool runnings. It’s not in the nicest neighborhood but it’s the best in Houston to me. They are also on Uber most times.
Check out Eater Houston. The post a monthly list of Houston “essential” restaurants, best new restaurants, best bbq, etc. They haven’t steered me wrong yet!
I’m from the east cost and I agree. Their food only tastes good on TikTok 😂
