I have also recently cleared all interview rounds in TCS & HR Shared 'Salary Breakup'. Still, my status in the iBegin portal is not changing from 'Evaluation in Progress' to 'Evaluated' & so on, even after uploading all required documents. They had initiated the process 2 times, 1st on 16th Nov and 2nd on 24th. Please let me know, how long it will take to release the final offer letter. Thanks

Totally feel this. It’s disheartening when the trust you came in with starts to feel misplaced. I used to think not bringing up salary early made me seem “easy to work with,” but now I realize it just puts me at a disadvantage. The range should mean something—why post it if no one’s going to honor it?
Do recruiters get a kick back based on how cheap they can hire for? Is that a thing?

I think so. My understanding is that they get a fixed amount no matter what, but they are incentivized not to get to the top range offered (otherwise they'd just always offer the maximum amount to get the candidate)
Because their client is incentivized to keep costs down, and ranges sometimes include “stretch” numbers that only go to unicorn candidates. It’s totally fair to ask about budget or range by the end of the first or second conversation, and to calmly say, “I’m targeting X, which is within the posted range, is that workable for this role?
It’s common for recruiters to start lower, but you’re not wrong to wait. Salary is usually best discussed once there’s clear interest, often after final or near-final rounds.
