Anyone here who left fed job and regretted it?
Hi All
I have 18 years of experience , out of which 9 years I worked in Manufacturing industry in Quality and Planning area, then I shifted my career to SAP Functional in Manufacturing domain and in IT industry now for last 8+yrs. In between I have done executive MBA from IIM Kozhikode.Am I eligible to work in consulting in Bain India and Bain any other country?
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Yes, because I’m in house now
I do. Big law is really challenging and can be a real meat grinder. But ultimately I think it’s the best profession in terms of intellectual rigor and compensation outside owning the means of production.
It’s fun
Mid/senior in big law, ECVC. I really enjoy my job. The job is interesting and rewarding and, when you get more senior, it is great to have flexibility to work when and where you want. Of course, the comp makes it extra worth it. The first couple years are brutal, but every year since has been more fun, challenging and rewarding than the last for me. I’m the kind of person who couldn’t stomach a boring, going-nowhere type of job, so I’d rather have the occasional months of grind but at least be growing and enjoying it throughout.
Be interested in ECVC and have some hobbies, work experience, academic experience, and/or personal interests that support the narrative of your interest in ECVC specifically in an interview.
Most of the time I really enjoy it. The mental puzzle, balancing practical considerations against legal requirements to come up with effective solutions for a wide variety of problems, helping my clients develop their projects and build their businesses, breaking down complex concepts in ways my clients can understand and then apply. The days I get to make bad computer art in MS Paint which is actually really helpful to conceptualize the problem and helps get me the “yes” my client needs.
Been practicing 35+ years in small and now mid-size firm doing transactional corporate and real estate work. Have clients all over N. America now. Love helping clients achieve their goals. It’s a lot of work, especially at the beginning, but developing the relationships with my clients and being instrumental in their success has been immensely satisfying.
