Would switching from healthcare M&A to consulting after 3 years of practice result in better quality of life? Pros? Cons?

Have any of you approached your employer for reimbursement for being asked to use your phone at work? Specifically things like texting your boss while they are in court? I started a new job and am trying to set boundaries but this is one that I cannot set as it is standard practice. In our state, an employer must reimburse you if they direct you to use your personal phone for work. It seems petty, but I’m trying to (rightfully) cash in on something that I would rather not have to do.

Folks, do you guys invest in 401k for the employer match? What if the allowed 401k options doesn’t have halal option? Anyone from EY?

Any tips on how to find a 9-5, fully remote non legal job that pays the very low 100s?

I’m exhausted and confused. I left my prior job as a plaintiff’s litigation attorney around 8 months ago after 4 years with the firm because I thought I really was not cut out for plaintiff’s work. I joined a defense litigation firm, but have realized that it’s not the clientele, but the litigation part of the job I hate. I just spent the evening looking for in-house opportunities and it’s looking bleak. Any tips or tricks?

I’m a BigLaw litigator but my dream is to get a job working with beauty products, maybe in branding or strategy or something. I’m a huge product junkie. What can I do to pivot into this type of role? Will I have to do an MBA?
