Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

Would the change in salary vs how much student loans you have make a difference ? Like if you were to deduct your current salary to match the salary of the hospital could you use that pay difference toward your loans now? Then multiply by 10 years, where would you loan amount be ? Also is there any additional things to be done before your student loans are forgiven once you reach that 10 year? I would hate to take a pay cut then at the 10 years unforeseen circumstances are thrown in your face . I personally would not take it.
Is there shift differential? Sometimes after the differential and getting paid for overtime, it ends up being more than you expect. How are the benefits? Is health insurance cheaper? Etc? 403b match? LTC sounds amazing tbh lol but you could even just try the staff position and then stay PRN at LTC? Keep that foot in the door.
I wouldn’t. Having to work there for potentially 10 years, take a pay cut, and get worse hours is probably not something I’d trade for, esp since your current situation sounds pretty great. I’m not sure show much your student loans are, but I would just try to pay off as much as possible. I would be afraid to risk having to work 10 years somewhere I don’t like

I wouldn’t take a pay cut for worse hours, but depending on the size of your student loan, it could be worth it. Probably more job stability at the hospital, though - I was laid off from LTC after 23 years. Tough choice for sure.
