How is WLB in AMD?
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

Remote role. You can get a side hustle and bridge the gap of the earnings, plus not be miserable.
This is the answer
Fully remote, for sure.
You tell me - is the flexibility of remote work + lack of commuting time + cost worth ~42K after tax?
Its an incredibly hard decision ngl. But personally theres nothing more valuable than being remote. I think id go for the remote one. After taxes, the difference wouldnt be as big as it seems
It would come down to how bad the commute for 200k is, for me personally
Are you still a senior auditor? How did you get those opportunities?
Take the remote job!!! Not worth sacrificing your mental health as long as your finances allow
Tough choice for sure.. hard to take a 30% pay cut but if you're miserable then it might make sense to take the remote job. Whats the 200k role?
What’s the long term potential of each role? It drives me crazy to see these posts and watch everyone say to take the remote job. It’s so much more nuanced than that and the OP isn’t giving any details other than starting salary for each.
Also consider the other benefits like insurance, PTO/sick/parental, 401/pension, size of company/brand, growth opportunities, job title, likability of coworkers. In my experience pay alone won’t get you happy. I wish you all the best.
