What are some good reasons to switch from Strategy / Corporate Finance Consulting to something related to Procurement/Project Management? I'm trying to switch departments because I've worked with their team before and I find that it's something that more suited towards me rather than Strategy. A lot of people say Project Management is less sexy but I don't really mind as I am at a profit satisficing salary

Hello! I am a Manager at Accenture in San Francisco who is returning from a Leave of Absence where I pursued a Master degree. Need to negotiate my salary and was looking for insight into compensation for this position in San Francisco.

I woke up regretting leaving Big4. I’ve been feeling like this for a while. I’ve been at A&M for over a year. I don’t feel appreciated and I’m tired of fighting to get a promotion this year. I would’ve been promoted at the Big4 firm last year if I had stayed. I’m more experienced than others at my level. Considering leaving the firm for similar total comp (and promotion in title), or shift in career (lower title) with higher comp. What would you do?

Polling the crowd: Say you had over 2 years of experience in a project, and all the sudden you were asked to step up and become Project Lead due to staffing changes. You are the only one left with enough experience to lead, and the project cant afford to loose you.
How much of salary bump would you ask for?

Has anyone succeeded in avoiding a rate card with big company procurement and only priced projects via other options (fixed fee, run rate, etc)? It'd be great to hear from anyone who escaped the hourly rate trap.

Turned down a 20k salary increase at a new job to take the offer that paid less, but was full time remote. I don’t think folks forcing people back in-office realize how much some of us value not having a 2-3 hour daily commute to the office. More lost time with my kids is not worth the extra money.

Being offered 190k to join CAPCO as Principal consultant in the data practice in NYC. Am I being lowballed? Also, no signing bonus at all, which is quite surprising. Also, would really appreciate any firsthand input on CAPCO as company - is it worth joining after Wipro acquisition?

Waiting for an offer from A&M. Someone of you know the percentage of collections you get for Associate role vs Senior Associate role? What is also the % of bonus you get from sales?

A boutique consulting firm reached out me on LinkedIn for a position. I requested the salary band prior to a formal call. Their response: salary info. would be provided during the initial interview. My response: bye (basically).

Question: why don’t recruiters provide the salary band upfront? Some do, but many still don’t, at least in my experience.

Would you take a role that has the same bonus but twice the bonus? Eg. base $200k but one role has 12% bonus and the other role can vary between 25-30% bonus? I’m at 200k and starting to think my base might be capped now and need to be open to switching for same base higher bonus. Thoughts?

Are there any actual studies someone can point to that show people who leverage a job offer to get a increase in salary from their current employer end up leaving in x number of months? I’ve heard people make this comment before, but I can’t find an actual study.

Considering a job that’s a perfect match for me, in an industry I’ve been trying to get into for years. Base pay would only be a 5% bump, bonus could be 5-15% more. But… I’d have to commute 3.5 hours (7 round trip) once a week 😒

got an offer from D and S&. D's base is 165K, 15K in bonus and they will reimburse tuition for two years of school. S& is 190K and 30k bonus. I feel like the two are kind of the same in terms of prestige? I would go for D's S&A practice and the "generalist" practice at S&. Any thoughts? Idk how long I want to stay in consulting and I am location agnostic.

Do we have to pay back the signing bonus to PwC if we leave before completing 2 years? How do taxes get adjusted if we end up paying back?

SKP fish, can you share general compensation range compared to other T2s ? Is it similar to EYP, S& or less/ more .

$136k salary

10% annual bonus

Full remote, no travel

Offer 2:

160k salary

5% annual bonus

Travel once per month.

I’m a Strategy Manager at T2. Base is 210k with 20-50% bonus. 6 YOE in tech implementations / tech strategy. Are there any types of positions I can get with my YOE in big tech that are close to that base salary? Everything I’m seeing that are manager or senior manager levels have salaries way lower than that.
