I would imagine either the departing company or receiving company would view this as a conflict unless you are talking completely unrelated fields. You made the choice to start looking for a new position with at least some expectation that you would be walking away from a bonus at the departing company. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.
You’re right - just feels bad to be leaving something on the table.
Had a 2 month overlap and made it work.
No issues at tax time. And I got my work done with both jobs no problem. Check out the reddit overemployed to see this to the extreme.
If you can get away with it, go for it. But, it sounds risky and scary and full of tension, at least for a job like mine. Like, how are you going to juggle meetings with conflicting times?
Make sure you prioritize the new gig.
100% - not an ideal situation by any means. Thanks for your input

Do you think your last company will pay your bonus if they find out you're with another firm?
Do you think they always find out?
thats why u always get a sign on bonus equal or greater than the bonus u r walking away from. but try to get both lol
Someone at my company did this and was immediately let go when they found out. Get a sign on bonus for the new place to offset your other bonus.
How did they get found out?
