Is getting MBA worth it if I don’t plan on changing careers but simply want a boost in compensation? I believe firms pay MBA hires more and promote them faster despite them doing the same job I am currently doing. I would be taking out loans 100%. Currently making $150k base in HCOL with 6 YOE, MS in accounting and CPA license.

Should my sign on bonus be included in the negotiations for a raise? Had a 10% base raise but my total comp only goes up by 3%.

If a company walks you out after giving your notice, would that be considered firm termination? Implication being you don’t have to pay back any signing bonus?

In general how many hours are consultants pulling per year and what does that result in for an hourly rate?

A total of 2 years B4 life sciences ops consulting experience with a ton of industry experience. I can survive here forever but don’t think I’m passionate enough. I’m thinking of applying to business school but worried I won’t have time to get a solid letter of rec if next years app is due in September. If I take this new role, I’d get a 50% comp increase and more responsibility. I have 4 YOE and have worked at my organization for 1.5 years. Should I take the money or just stay here and get the rec?

Have pre-partner offers from EYP, OW, A&M, Alix. All are in an industry-focused practice. Based purely on total compensation, what is the rank order across these offers? For A&M and Alix, for clarity, they are not in restructuring but in core "consulting" that's comparable to the other two.

Situation: parent of young kids. 100% wfh role. AmazingWLB. Ok comp (210) - dislike my boss.

Op 1: switch to new role in company. Same comp. Much better job & boss. Promo in next 2 years unlikely. (Industry)

Op 2: back to consulting. Minimum 50% bump, max 100%. Some travel. WLB not great. Like the people much better.

Love wlb and remote with op 1 but comp and how it sets my family up very enticing in op 2. What to do..
