What is the salary range for a new partner for MBB in India? I know bonus might vary.. but would like a range assuming average performance

Has anyone looked into or pursued a PhD in accounting? I’m 32 years old and planning to have kids in the next few years so the thought of going back to school for 4-5 years is pretty scary. Im also nervous about giving up my salary to be a student again. My partner is very supportive and we don’t necessarily need my salary but I’m also very independent and the thought of relying on someone else financially makes me uneasy. I know I don’t want to stay in public accounting and would love to teach.

BCG 🐠: How does total Partner compensation differ from total MD-Partner compensation? I understand Partner at BCG is “non-equity” but don’t know what that means in terms of terms of comp.

How long would one typically need to be a partner to make it "worth it?" I'm expecting to be considered in 2-3 years but also have lived a modest lifestyle and we likely could retire comfortably in 10 years or so at my current salary/position. Part of me wants to focus on spending more time with my family rather than being laser focused on being a partner. Most of our partners seem to stay until mandatory retirement at 60.

How would you handle not getting a bonus or a raise this year even if you outperformed expectations? I really like my job and the work, but my comp is not matching my responsibilities and performance imo. Partner has ducked me for the last week trying to have a meeting about 2020 productivity.

What's a typical comp structure for a client partner and sales director? % break up of base, OTE, etc

I am with a B4 and on the partner pipeline (probably in 2 years). Have an offer from a successful tech start-up for the slightly higher base and variable comp (last year average for this role was 2.5x base) and options. I really like consulting and wasn't looking to move. Not knowing anything else, what are your thoughts? What questions should I ask?

Anyone else feel like a sucker for not going the CS+SWE/PM route? Only way to catch up in comp is making partner but even then the wlb can't even compare

I am a senior associate (longest tenured) at a small firm of 1 partner and 5 associates. For a Christmas “bonus “ this year I got an Omaha Steaks delivery. In the 6 years prior, we always received cash bonuses. Should I be offended? I don’t know how to feel.

How many associates don’t have access to their full billing software? All I can do is input my time and create a recap of hours report for different date ranges. No ability to check on amounts billed to clients or receipts so there is no way to track my realization rate or progress towards bonus. Is this something I should bring up with the managing partner?

Junior here. Can a partner/counsel/senior associate (or anyone else who knows what's up) explain revenue collection to me like I'm 5?

Basically I'm wondering how it is that big law firms generally have the same pay for associates as other big law firms. However, speaking to some of my friends at other firms, our billing rates are WAY different (ex. my hourly rate as a second year at my firm is the same as a 4th year's rate at another firm). How are situations like this even possible?

What’s the average comp for a new partner in Big4 firm and a top 15 regional firm?

Should I jump? FDD M2, received offer from Amazon to be a senior financial analyst. Comp level is similar, has no interests in becoming a partner in the future.

What is the ballpark BASE salary range for a Partner at BCG or an AP at McK? Not inclusive of bonus or any kind of profit sharing. To clarify, asking about the roles just under the "full MD equity partner" roles at both. Thanks !

All the viewpoints here seem to be about equity Partners. How does it differs for an MD? For instance MDs at EY get performance based bonus and higher pay. But it seems like an exec position with higher pay expectations, which I can get at industry. So should I switch firms to get partnership if my current firm can only offer MD to me ? And I want to be partner

Would you take high risk / high reward consulting gig at a small firm? Comp is hourly and project based. Firm has a good foothold in the niche market. Offers lots of flexibility. But no benefits and since it’s project and hourly based it’s feast or famine. If you have a partner (spouse, domestic partner, etc.) and they had a stable job, would it change your perspective of taking the high risk/high reward role?

Left UK 5 years ago as Mgr because got fed up of low comp (and really, it’s the comp:houseprice ratio). Felt like unless you were in IB or Magic Circle law then getting on the property ladder was v difficult. But now wife wants to move back home - and trying to find the right moment when pay cut will be the smallest... Are there pathways to earn £180-200k as a Director at the Big4, or is Partner the only ticket to doing so?

Starting the certs in the CTA pyramid but wondering if it’s worth it. Does it increase your salary if you get the CTA cert? If so, how much or what levels/salary bands would it put you in at a partner or Salesforce itself?

Online when I research MBB partner salary it seems most things state 600k base and then only increases in bonus. Is this true? Or does a partners base comp also increase with tenure?

At what level does comp for MBA Vs non MBA level off? Got offer for $110k for senior consultant with 5 YOE and a masters. Was told it’s 150 for MBAs. Does this gap exist all the way until partner level?

Current non-equity partner here. Up for equity this year. Had a good year. Concerned that my firm will either forgo giving me a bonus or give me a lower bonus than I deserve in exchange for possibly giving me equity (which might not even result in an immediate raise). Thoughts?

I wanted to know in reality how much does a partner lets say advisory makes on an average other than fixed salary?

Received a job offer for an industry senior job that would be a $20K pay bump plus nice bonus and really good benefits (a lot better then my current benefits) and much better work/life balance. However, I was pretty much guaranteed to be early promoted to manager this year (in August). I’m currently discontent with my income.
(3rd year. Salary=80k and no performance incentive. I brought in $1.4mm AFTER partners claimed over half of fees on my big cases.)
I see CJL offers an incentive+ base but I’m curious about that structure.
Any good or bad firm culture to speak of?
Is it impossible to actually earn a respectable incentive bonus?
Am I going to have some partner come cut me out of any cases where I might actually make a solid fee?
