Hi all, does anyone know what a second year tax manager with a JD/LLM would make at a Big4 in a non-NYC HCOL market (LA/SF/DC/Bos)? Is the number higher if the person laterals in (as opposed to starting at the same Big4)?

Can any BOs share good websites or references to get started on things one would need helo with starting businesses, like entity filing, accounting, bookkeeping, invoice, payroll, and other services?

Suggestions on a town that is resonably close to the Boston Airport and still affordable (under $700k for a single family home), also have a kid so schools are eventually going to be important. Suggestions?? Resonably close to the airport to me is an hour or less of car/commuter ride. I am thinking we may have to travel at some scale over the next year and beyond hence the proximity to Bos Logan is important.

Been awhile since I travelled so I’m not sure what the airports are like anymore. Flying out of DCA to BOS with a 645am door close. What time should I arrive? It’s myself, wife, 5 year old and infant in lap (the worstttt). We have CLEAR and TSA Precheck. What time should we arrive to DCA if boarding starts at 6?

I started my first account job in Feb. As a junior account person, do you think I would be hindering my growth if I decide to stay remote? Right now, my team is split across BOS and NY, but I can’t wrap my head around the cost of living in those cities. I’m not opposed to being in those cities for the job opportunities, but I just don’t think I could afford to do so. And truthfully, I don’t know if I want to.

I’m traveling to Maine from Georgia in a couple of weeks and will be flying into Boston and renting a car. I am reading about Mass. Covid travel rules and I am wondering if I would qualify as a transitory traveler since I’m just passing through. The website only talks about people that are driving through so I was wondering if anyone has done something similar recently. Also, if anyone has flown into BOS recently, how did they check to see if you exempt from the Covid rules?

Not an exit per se but at T2 strategy firm (EYP/L.E.K./OW/etc.) in major city (BOS/NY/CHI) and need to move for personal reasons (SO’s career) to smaller city (Pitt/DC/Denver/etc.) where firm doesn’t have an office. I am a top performer - multiple early promotes - now at post-MBA level and would never have previously considered leaving my firm. Now wondering what the best play would be. Do post-MBA laterals to MBB happen without MBA? Do I try remote? Is a few years industry good experience?

I applied for SA KPMG in their Boston office but have only been contacted by NY recruiters & offered a final round in NY as well. Is it reasonable to req Bos if given an offer aligned to NY? Thoughts?
