I've been temping all pandemic for a school district as an HR specialist, how can I get out of education & make this work in HR? My degree a decade back was Psychology and I've been in non-profits and upper academia since. DFW all around clerical looking for a FT with decent benefits and pay.

What salary should I target for an industry role in DFW market with 4.5 years total experience? Would 100k base be decent?

Pretty new to consulting. Boutique firm. $170K no benifits- can I do better in DFW? Also do all consultants battle horrible disorganization and power struggles all the time internally?

If I had to work near DFW airport slightly northwest of it, how bad would be the commute from uptown Dallas? Mid 20s guy looking to meet people eat out with a degree of walkability. Legacy west looks further away, but open for other areas or if I should stick to those two.

I need to be out of my DFW area house by the first week of December- my choices are narrowed to closing first week of November and leasing it back at $100 per day (which totals slightly less than the mortgage payment), or wait until Dec 1 to close but risk the buyer backing out if the market tanks (debt ceiling, US defaults, etc. ). What would you do in my shoes?

Background: I have worked in the saas implementation and consulting space for the better part of a decade. I moved from hcm software to fintech client mgmt (think credit decisioning.) Has anyone had luck getting compensation for >24hr delays with American at DFW? Had to sleep in the airport and flights keep getting cancelled delayed for “weather” when no other airline is having issues. Customer support at the gate says they won’t because they say it was a weather issue. Any advice? Got the flights using miles in case that’s useful info.

The base is not changing much for me. I am Senior Managing Consultant at IBM.

Never saw IBM giving 10% bonus for last 10 years anyway. But heard Accenture gives 15K roughly to SM.

Tried to negotiate but Accenture is not willing to change base. They added 10K in RSU and Joining to make 40 each.

What is an average midpoint salary for a SM in EY’s consulting customer practice for the DFW area?

I'm based in DFW. Interviewing at a firm with multiple offices. Have been through several rounds of interviews. Last one is with partner who splits time between DFW and NYC. Has been scheduled and postponed 3-4 times now because partner has been in NYC and hasn't returned to DFW. Do I offer to fly up to NYC on my dime? Does that smack of desperation? Just wait it out? Seems to be a very good opportunity.

I am currently getting interviewed for a technical Architect position at Salesforce CSG group at either L8 or L9 but have no idea how this role would be.

Advice needed

I am audit manager (no experience in bank client). I got an offer from Citi for internal audit manager role for their CCAR division in DFW area. Pay wise They are giving 35% hike. Now i am confused should as i have no prior exp bank industry should it be good idea to join and will there be good exit opportunity ?
