Curious about AlixPartners as a firm to start at after undergrad, wondering if anyone would be willing to chat about their experiences?

If I put my two weeks in for a job at another big 4, will I 100% get let go on the spot? If I do get let go on the spot and don’t start my other job for another month, could I claim unemployment since they technically let me go?

Is it hard to get into a t15 MBA with a background in big 4 accounting advisory and a 3.5 gpa from a state school? Feel like my GPA/school and career look bad

I recently got a good freelance opportunity @ $22/hr from some Recruiter in linkedin. I have to work 4 hrs from evening till 10pm.

But I work at a big 4, do you guys think it is worth considering they are very strict on moonlighting issues?

WE - 3 yrs (1.5 yrs post tier-2 MBA in an automotive OEM)

Need some guidance on the following:
1. Career progression in the industry
2. Realistic exit opportunities to Big 4 and Big 3
3. Approximate pay bracket for different levels

Considering making a move from big 4 business consulting to a smaller (~200 people) digital transforation consulting firm in CA in that is hiring for specific staff augmentation role at one of their clients which is an $800 mil revenue and rapidly growing SaaS company. I know I would enjoy this new role but pay is the same although it is fully remote (my current role is defeintly not and I don't particularly enjoy the work/travel). Wondering what my benefits and risks are if making this move.

I have worked in a small firm for 4 years and will move to a bigger firm soon. When I told my boss that I would ask my professor at my school to see if any students want to apply for my position, he said no. It’s because students at my school usually aim for either big 4 or bigger firms. And he doesn’t want to train people for 3,4 years and they then leave for a bigger firm. I feel like he blames me for leaving the firm when he said that or am I just too sensitive?

I worked for 4 years at KPMG (until 1 year away from manager) and left for a bank 1 year ago. Now I want to go back to b4 consulting in a manager position. Will it be challenging to convince the recruiters?

😭😭 my tax senior is leaving for a Big 4 job after this week (we're a small public accounting firm.) So proud of her, but now I need to hire a senior tax preparer. If you know anyone near Seattle who's looking for a tax position send them my way.

Currently a Tax senior 1 at b4, and have a potential offer as a sales tax staff in industry, which is a step down in position and salary. The benefit would be a better schedule.

My husband supports whatever decision I make bc I supported him the last 7 years when he was building his career and he says it’s now my turn. I would be ok knowing if this was temporary but when I look at managers and SM’s above me it doesn’t seem to get any better? Can anyone weigh in on why they stayed in PA?

I need some guidance. Left B4 audit as a Manager and have been Controller for 2 years at my current company. The industry side of accounting is killing me and I find myself with no motivation to do my job. I miss the client aspect of B4, the career progression, the coaching, but I've been spoiled with the 9-5 hours now. I also feel like I would be better off going into consulting for a specific skill (M&A, TAS, something), but don't want absurd hours.
