Do any of the Big 4 have big Deal Advisory/Transaction Advisory practices in the Phoenix area?

In talks with A&M to come over to their TAG practice from EY FDD as senior associate. Base salary is very competitive on top of the alluring "bonus" structure. 2 questions:

1. Do they normally offer sign on bonuses?
2. Is their any disadvantage between A&M FDD compared to B4 FDD in terms of exit ops down the road? Trying to look 5 years down the line

I’ve been in Consulting for 3 years and moved to Big 4 6 months back. I start thinking that it’s not for me. Too political and contradictory guidance from leadership. Seeking guidance about exit oppts

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Planning to do a PRM or FRM qual. How useful is it to move from Big 4 Risk and reg consulting to industry? Finding it hard to get anything other than non-PM roles

How many interviews should I expect for manager role in consulting with Big 4? Is there an offer after the “super day” or more follow ups?

Has anyone ever negotiated/been offered a signing bonus and/or relocation bonus with the Big 4?

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. Looking to switch to a Senior Tax Advisor consulting role at advisory firm (not B4) with no prior public or consulting experience. Have 8 years of Corporate Tax experience in industry (currently a Senior in healthcare company). New role will be mostly focused on provisions. Any ideas on what salary range should be expected?

I was on a partner/manager call today and they were discussing the “high” turnover at the senior and experienced associate level. What was shocking is that while ours is about double normal, evidently we are 3 out of 4 in turnover meaning 2 of the Big 4 are even higher.

600sqft 1 bedroom in kips bay, $1800 (walk-up, no laundry in building, no doorman) for year lease

Would be moving from 6th floor walk up $1400 month to month in prime LES with two roommates(not my best friends but nice).

Would you move?

2. I like to run so options downtown seem better but not familiar with kips Bay Area

What does it mean if there’s a NEP at the firm who’s been there for a long time (20+ years), but never got promoted to EP? Never held leadership roles too. Does it usually mean EPs does not like the NEP enough to get promoted?

The NEP has a book of business, though no idea how much it brings in.

We are hiring for senior IT auditors and cyber assessors to work on SOC2s, CMMC, pen testing, vulnerability assessments, and other similar projects. Boston area, medium/large regional firm. 2-4 years exp but flexible. Open to associates that are on the cusp of promotion to senior. Relatively low travel and better WLB compared to Big4. Is there a definitive guide to cost of living? The obvious cost of living centers (SF, NYC, LA etc.) get covered a lot, but I’m wondering where my city falls. It’s a modest Midwest city with ~100k residents but is a relatively touristy spot. It often feels like a MCOL area but I’m not sure how to adequately judge that, and it would be helpful to know when comparing salaries and the like.
