Outside of the standard certifications you hear about here (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.), what would be a good up and coming certification? Would CISM or CISSP be applicable? I want something that can be transferable to industry if I decide to leave public in the next few years.

I start my journey of being more technical today. I am giving myself 2 yrs. I started a role doing IT controls, Identity and Access Management work. I have prior experience in UAT, business process controls (A-123). I am planning on passing the Security plus and CISSP certs within 2 yrs. Have a TS clearance. My wife and I want to travel to several continents post-COVID, while also both working remotely. Are there any jobs in Cyber that can be done entirely remote and that still pay very well? I have a CISSP (associate status). Currently I do a lot of assessments (NIST, ISO, etc.) and data protection related work. I am beginning to break into more technical consulting work such as implementations (although I do have a pretty technical background) . I would love to break into cloud eventually.

I’m burnt out from working so much and just not having time. Trying to study on top of it adds to the stress and depression but also not studying makes me feel just as bad. Any advice?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing.
