Currently have CSR, and just got corporate Amex Green card as I just started at the firm. Are the Amex points worth the Amex personal points fee? And should I upgrade to Platinum for these points?

Amex Platinum - is booking hotels on the Amex Travel portal worth the 5x hotel points? Asking because I’ve heard that hotels sometimes don’t let nights booked there apply toward status or award points

I left the firm and my Amex got canceled, there is still 1500 unpaid on the card. I already assigned the expenses on the last day. Will my paycheck be impacted by this 1500 on Friday when we get paid?
