I got contacted by a recruiter about a role at an agency. It’s a lateral title move (maybe a salary bump) and I’m not unhappy at my job, but I generally have a rule of taking every call.

I’m 4 interviews in - at the assignment / offer stage and I’m increasingly uneasy. Culture feels a little toxic, the work isn’t super exciting, lots of turnover etc.

Thinking I should pull out as to no waste time. Any reason not to that I’m missing (aside from bridge burning?)

Does anyone remember the social campaign Nike did a couple years ago where they would drop game balls for pick up games in the metro NYC area? Can’t find a case study but I’ve been looking all morning

Has anyone interviewed with Creative X (Facebook/Instagram’s in-house)? Any tips you can share? Or any insider knowledge of what it’s like working there?

What’s the most bullshit question you’ve been asked during an interview? (aside from blatantly illegal, racist, sexist, etc questions which I think we can agree are on a different level)

I’m interviewing at an agency and I love two of the client teams I have meet with so far. Is it possible to ask to be put on both team if both accounts offer me the role ( it’s the same role )?

Recruiters: what percentage (would you guess) that you actually end up hiring people you did informational interviews/meetings with in the past?

Starting to see posts from creatives who won awards, and Im honestly alarmed by how I just do not care at all. I feel like the people who hustle and call in favors to make stuff clients wont pay for and have no interest in—and work even harder on case study videos over nights and weekends—are only rewarded (even if they get another job) with the expectation to do it again next year.

I should care more about “reshaping the industry,” but I dont see any reward coming out of it, just busywork.

Thoughts/opinions about Publicis Health Media? Currently work at an Omnicom agency and am interviewing at PHM, but I've heard some negative things about work/life balance.

Going through interview process at large agency. Met with talent recruiter last Wednesday who said next interview would be with CD and SD. Sent follow up after call to schedule and it’s been silent since. Is this the pace of larger groups? Is it tough for CDs to free up for interviews? Just curious. Thanks for insight.

One of the holding companies I had several rounds of good interviews finally got back to me & invited me to chat with the team.

But I just accepted an offer.

Should I still go through the interviews or turn them down now?

Need an advice: I might get an offer soon but I’ve just interviewed with another place that I like much better and they seem interested. So, in case I get an offer from the first place, should I let the other place know about it and see if they want to move forward with me? Thanks a bunch for any help!

Serious Question: How on earth do you interview for new jobs when you’re back in office?? I can only fake so many DR appointments. With WFH I can squeeze in two interviews a day if it’s not too busy.

Background: I applied a different position a year ago and got rejected in the 1st round. 1 year later, the same department reached me out and offered me an interview opportunity for a different position. Hey, has anyone—-Im most curious about ad creatives, but really anyone—gotten even a RESPONSE from applying for a job through Linked In? Much less gotten the actual job?

Linked In sends me these emails about jobs, and it just seems like throwing an email into a cave.

I'm starting to think less of ppl who are recruiters... They can email, DM on LinkedIn, leave voicemails and are comfortable texting you initially, BUT go completely ghost after your 1st round interviews. There's something twisted about charming ppl then ghosting daily.

On May 21, I had what I consider to be a great interview! I was told they were just starting the interview process. And advice on follow up emails so that I don’t get forgotten? Like how often or what to include?

I graduated a few weeks ago and accepted a role for an art direction internship at a good agency but not somewhere I love. They only gave me a day to sign the offer letter, so I did because I didn’t have other immediate options. But a few days later an agency I love reached out to me about a Jr. AD opening. I’ve now done 4 interviews and have another call next week. How bad will it be to pull out of the internship right as it’s starting if I get this offer for a full time job?

I’m having my exit interview Monday with my boss, who recruited me to my current agency. Do I tel him exactly why I’m leaving (lack of professional development, lack of opportunities) or do I just tell him it’s a promotion and better opportunity and not burn a bridge? Please help.

I’ve had many interviews, followed by many rejections. They always ask the same thing: how far along are you in your job search or with interviews with other companies? Do they ask this because they like you and want to make sure they don’t lose you to another offer or because if you’re actively looking they don’t want to get into any battles? Not sure how to even answer this, I’ve been honest in the past but not sure if it’s hurt me.

Been interviewing and networking nonstop for the past few months. Doing everything right, even getting reached out to by recruiters which has never happened before. Nailing every interview, ECDs telling me things like “you’re the best candidate we’ve interviewed” and complimenting/agreeing with me on everything I say. Being told Im a shoe in and to hang tight while we interview others then getting turned down for the role. I WANT TO SCREAM!! What do I do? I’m miserable at my current agency.

Had 6 interviews (each about 60 min long) for a role at an SF agency and didn’t get the job 🥶 not including the initial call with the recruiter. I wasn’t the “ideal fit”.

Anyone have a good interview question to ask to get a sense of work-life balance that doesn’t make you sound like a bad candidate? Remote interviewing makes it so hard to feel out, but I’m not taking another role that expects me to be available 14 hours a day.
