I started a new job in industry as a Business Analyst. In a very shy person who usually stays very quiet in meetings when I don’t have anything to contribute. But l met with one of my leaders today who told me he had hired me because he thinks I’m a go-getter, negotiator & outspoken. Facing an interesting dilemma about compensation vs title and looking for advice. I am currently a Senior Manager in the industry (work in Financial Systems). I recently got an offer for a Senior Business Analyst role (total compensation of $250K) in the same city - my current comp is $170K. One was with Salesforce and I was supposed to be in the final round and then they put the position on Hold and another one was with a Pharma Client in Boston and they picked another person for the role... Considering applying for an entry level business analyst (consulting) position at a competitor Big 4 firm. I just completed my first year in audit, so I’m wondering if it’s still appropriate for me to apply as entry level instead of experienced hire?

So I’m a second year consultant. Like most, I was disappointed with compensation this year and am pretty bearish on my future earning potential here. I’m currently interviewing with a big tech company (not FAANG but close) for a position with substantially higher pay as a business analyst. I really wanted to stay til SC/M but the money is too good to pass up. I guess my question is: are there any major downsides to exiting to industry “too early?” Has anyone done it and regretted it?
