Thoughts on “Affirm”.....I’m looking at a growth strategy analyst role?

Currently a senior analyst (1.5 YOE) at AFS, anyone at Deloitte have an idea at what level I'd be hired at? Pay range? Looking at an agile role (have certs)

Is it possible to go from a senior financial analyst role at American Express to an investment banking analyst or associate role at a tier 1 or 2 bank?

Currently an L4 entry level manager at Amazon after graduating last year. I’ve been in this position for about 6 months after taking it as an opportunity to internally move into corporate.

I’ve been peeking at internal openings lately and have been at a crossroad on whether or not it’d be more valuable to move “down” per say in title to an Analyst/Business Analyst position or apply to other “entry” level manager positions like a Program Manager.

Which ones have greater career prospects?

Would anyone be able to share the total compensation (base and bonus) for management consulting analyst or similar role at your company (1 YOE)? My company just changed bonus structure to flat 5% of base which seems extremely low to me.

Hello, I'm 21, UK based, and looking to start FIRE. I am a Deloitte apprentice, meaning I started as an analyst at 18 after leaving school.

Currently my living costs = income (£25k). I'm hoping to be promoted to Consultant next September, giving me a £13k pre-tax pay rise. I have a £1k emergency fund, that's it.

I applied off the cuff to a role at a tech company (non FAANG). Now invited to interview. Role is an analyst level asking for 2+ YOE in consulting. I have 4.5. Now I see an opening for a Sr Analyst (same team) asking for 3+ YOE....is appropriate to bring up leveling in the intro call with the recruiter?

Long shot, but how likely are you to get an interview at a MBB's analyst position without a referral (1-2 YOE)?

Looking for analyst/1st year associate level roles. Worked as a consulting analyst and was a high performer but had role affected by COVID at around 9 months in (still on good terms with old managers, eligible for rehire etc). Thinking of applying to entry level roles but it seems there aren’t many- is this just because of the holidays? I’ve applied to a couple but haven’t seen much traction, and I have good experience 😔

What is a banking VP “Analyst”? Currently a Senior Consultant, reached out to for a VP analyst position. I assume the role is very similar to being a Senior Consultant? I.E. lead analysis and strategy, but with no direct reports? Would you all consider this a lateral move?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is most of PE hiring is done via recruiting at the start of an IB analyst's career and it's from the recruiters reaching out themselves to analysts at BBs/EBs (for larger PE places).

Does this mean if an analyst starts their career at in boutique or smaller MM IB, even if they manage to lateral to a BB/EB, they have essentially no chance at say ending up at an MF because it's too late?

I started a new job in industry as a Business Analyst. In a very shy person who usually stays very quiet in meetings when I don’t have anything to contribute. But l met with one of my leaders today who told me he had hired me because he thinks I’m a go-getter, negotiator & outspoken. Which I may have come across this way during the interview because I had to sell myself. Now I’m feeling like I’m not good for the role...I can’t all of a sudden just be outspoken! Any help/advice on how to deal?

Hi Strategy& fish! Quick questions. I recently applied for a SA role at Strategy& on the HIA payer/provider team. I have an MPH from a top program and 1.5 YoE (I'm currently a consulting analyst on the provider side). Should I also apply for the Associate level position or no? Need help figuring out what to look for/what I’d qualify for. I would like to make the switch to consulting - the money and business travel are big motivators. I have a Masters degree (non-MBA), 4.5 YOE in operations finance (labor planning as a Senior Finance Analyst) and 6 months as a Process Engineer. Would like to break $150k and would love to get up to $200k in the next couple of years if possible. What kind of role would I possibly qualify for? The consulting language is very new to me.

A2 and landed an FP&A Analyst position. How much will I need to know vs. how much of it will be learning on the job? Accounting background only. Undergrad, masters, and CPA.

Is 33 too old for an executive management program in the US? Been in a business analyst role for some time and 8 YOE in different countries (Singapore, India, UK and US) .
