Have been stuck in a senior role for almost 4 years. Hope to change it to a product designer role but keep getting rejections. I need some positive stories. Anyone had similar experience and ended up with happy ending? Please share.

Spouse makes $130k base as a lead designer of a well known brand company. Another competitor reached out to the spouse for an open role equivalent to one level higher, and base starts at $250k. Spouse won’t even talk to the recruiter because the current brand has very good image while the competitor is more mainstream and flashier (think Supreme).

I work at a small agency. I asked for a raise and was told you can get one in a few months if you do X,Y,Z but also keep in mind you make (on the low end of) what your position should make.

My question is—I wear many hats within my agency because we’re small and growing—So while I may be an art director, when needed I’m also a PA, or a production designer etc... SO shouldn’t my salary reflect that??

I recently cleared an interview with Deloitte for the role of UX designer consultant. Currently I am working with a startup.

I have interviews scheduled with thermo fisher and Boeing. Would Deloitte be worth leaving the other opportunities?

How much travelling would I have to do as a consultant?

I really don't have anyone to guide me. I would be thankful for any response.

I have an interview at D for the Solution Designer role. How is this different from a Consultant? are they on the same level or is SD below C?

Why do job applications for art directors have way more requirements than copywriters these days? I’m sick of being expected to not only art direct and design, but to be the illustrator, animator, editor, 3D artist, UX/UI designer, etc. all while my copywriter friends snag interviews and gigs left and right with ease bc hiring managers just expect them to do the 1 job they’re supposed to do! I need a job and I’m so so so tired of it!

Question about interview process: I’m transitioning my career to product design and have been applying for a new role. I heard back from a recruiter for a product designer position and asked me to complete a design exercise. The thing is that I’ve not even had a phone interview yet. Is this normal? Also, how long should a design exercise take? The only thing I received is a list of prompts choose from. Thanks!
