Is big 4 advisory manager/senior manager qualified for MBB EM?

i need a some perspective about the big 4 and mbb. i’m a senior undergrad recruiting for consulting and this cycle didn’t go as well as planned. i had an interview w mckinsey (no offer) and never heard back from rest of big 4/mbb. got an offer from UHG which is not bad at all but can’t help but feel hopeless that i didn’t get where i wanna be. i feel like i’m obsessing over the name/prestige of these firms even though ik there’s so much more out there than the name of your company and i’m young

I climbed expeditiously in my career and finally determined rising in ranks will not help me accomplish my career goals. I'm hoping to do so through management consulting - I believe many of my skills are transferrable. How long do you have to wait when applying for jobs to get an interview? Soon to be MBA grad applying to my Big 4, MBB, other consulting jobs and for about 3 weeks have gotten no interviews… is it just the times?

Big 4 and MBB engagement managers (helping with scheduling etc.) , the average salary is $120k. Does that sound right? Seems very high since it's up there with audit manager salary.

Applied to MBB last year as an undergrad and made it to final round interviews at McKinsey. Unfortunately, it did not work out. Joined the strategy practice of a Big 4 recently. When would be the best time to reapply as an experienced candidate?

Need serious advice. Been a Digital Strategy consultant for three years, heavy focus on product strategy, research, development. It’s a small but global consultancy (offices in nyc, brasil, colombia). Last whole year been acting as a technical lead on strategy for a team of 40+ consultants across different industries and even sold new projects including new clients considered unicorns. Can I go to MBB as a consultant and/or project lead? My salary is way below average big 4/MBB… don’t have MBA.

What are the tiers of consulting firms and does that match pay? I’m assume top tier is MBB, then Big 4 + Accenture, then what? For pay (entry level to 2 YOE) does MBB have the highest pay, then Big 4 + A then everything else?

Which firms do CDDs? I’m sure there’s lot more than I’m aware of but I’m only aware of the Big 4, MBB, OW, and LEK. Seems like a lot more firms do FDD and ODD and don’t touch CDD

I am 2 years out of undergrad (T30) and have worked at a small consulting firm doing market strategy consulting for many of the major pharmaceutical companies since graduation. Long term, I see myself more in strategy/ management consulting due to the higher pay and earnings potential. I’m currently 25, would I be able to move into MBB, tier 2, or the big four consulting now? I understand I would be looking at entry level positions and I am fine with that.

Can I get some advice on deciding between a big 4 consulting firm in NY vs. MBB in LA? I love both companies but just want to know if MBB really gives you a jumpstart compared to firms like Monitor, EYP, Strategy&?

Thinking of getting an online MBA from Kelley at IU. Been at Big 4 and am now at a MM firm doing transaction advisory and structuring work. I like the Online MBA as I can continue to work. I don’t particularly have aspirations to work at MBB or anything like that, but I would be interested in pursuing a MM banking job and eventually something in PE. Does that seem reasonable. I have a solid network already so not super concerned about networking during the MBA (and Kelley isn’t known for that).

Would you rather take a job at MBB/T2/Big 4 or a job with a "Creator" (Mr. Beast, The Sidemen, Beta Squad, AMP, etc.) I have no idea what you would be doing so I leave that to the imagination. And I have no idea what these Creators would pay you. I will add that you will have long term job stability with the Creators. This might not be a conversation for boomers so you can stick this one out. Let the discussion begin.

Is it possible to move from a Big 4 Financial Transformation Consulting division towards strategy consulting (MBB, Tier 2 or Boutique)? Does anyone have any experiences with such a move?

Thoughts on boutique consulting firms vs. big 4, MBB, etc? I have only worked boutique since graduating (now 25yo.) and wondering if it is way better for my career to make the switch? My life dream isn’t to make partner or have a certain company/label on my resume, but I would like to make 300k and just wondering if this is possible with smaller firms. Would love to hear about experiences or advice. Thanks!!
