I’m starting to wonder whether I’m being underpaid or treated fairly, considering the current climate. I’m a 2nd year associate who finished his 1st year last month earning 65k at a very small IP boutique firm (4 lawyers total) in DC working around 50-70 hours. The firm has a billable hour bonus structure but it’s very unlikely that I’ll be able to break into it due to write offs, and having to cover for a senior paralegal whose on leave. Should I think of leaving or sticking around?

I’m a year overdue for my SAE promotion due to covid and business issues. I was told by my SVP that the promotion is definitely coming before EOY & I just need to “sit tight”. In the mean time I have been interviewing for an associate brand manager role for a smaller CPG company. Is it worth it to make the jump this early if my goal is to go brand side anyway? Going into Senior Associate offer negotiation with PwC London UK, what is the normal base salary expectation? Or even total salary expectation?

To all new hires that came into KPMG with experience, I wanted to ask how much were you able to negotiate from the initial offer in terms of %? If you were a high performer in the interview that would be helpful as well. Running into a case where the initial offer is lower than market average but it’s on the high side of the salary band for the position. It’s a senior associate position and it’s an engineering role.

I have 9 YOE, got offer from PWC, $99k base salary in columbus, position of senior associate L2. Is it a good offer? Recruiter told me PWC follows some kind of pay structure it is non negotiable. Can anyone advise.
