Does anyone know why the triage staffing is hiring under qualified corporate staff for position that they have no background or knowledge in but won’t hire people who are well suited for those roles? Is it a pay thing? Because I knew they hired someone that just wanted to work from home and got a job that is under qualified.

Anyone wfh from a state not licensed to practice in such as barred in California but work remote in jersey? What’s your experience been like? Difficulty finding work?

Working and living in California doing workers comp defense but parents are offering to sell my wife and I a family house that is half price of anything on market in Connecticut. What are the chances of keeping the current job but jsit working remote in another state? Is there anyone who is licensed in California but works and lives in another state? Would it be easier to get licensed in New York/CT/NJ?

Advice for staying focused while WFH with kids? I’m a new dad to twins and I find myself working late to make up for being distracted by them during the day. I WFH exclusively. My wife is a SAHM and my MIL is here during the day too, but I need to find a better system to avoid getting sucked in to childcare during work hours. Tips?

Is it frowned upon to expense OT meals when working from home on a deal? My manager has been asking about hours and expenses so not sure if they don’t want me to expense. (Note EY allows WFH OT meals).

What holiday party did you get?
Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

2 years into WFH - gained weight, left wrist is under constant pain from keyboard not being the right height, right knee ligament is fragile from sitting on my leg for multiple hours a day. I never considered the trade off of a completely sedentary job until now and i'm starting to wonder if the $$$ is worth the health deterioration.

What are perks at deutsche bank…like joining kit? Office perks?
And is there work from home running or how is it?

sharks - I have cleared the interview for the MasterCard advisors department. I have 2 doubts:

1. Hr told me that the advisors department has something called MAIP for variable payout which is always higher than other departments (all others have SIP)? Can someone clarify this?

2. Also what about 1 month WFH policy. Is it given to all. And can we get it once every year?

1) will Deloitte usi provide early release or ask me to complete full 2 months of notice period?

What was interviewing like pre covid? A firm keeps pushing me to interview during my lunch break via zoom, but I don't have any wfh flexibility at my firm and my schedule the next 2 weeks is very hectic. I can only do it after the workday, but the firm won't budge. I can't do the morning as my firm requires us to get in at 8am. I guess I won't be interviewing then.

HELP! I’ve been remote since day one (everyone in my team is) but my manager just told me that the laws for visa process are going back to prepandemic rules where in process employees are supposed to work in the company’s location. He mentioned that there are likely exceptions. Should I be concerned? Anyone has experience with this? The office is over an hour drive from my home.
