Hello everyone. I just discovered fishbowl a few minutes ago and so I am new here. I work from home full time and am also a full time Mom as well to two amazing little boys, ages 5 and 7, one of whom has been declared academically gifted (my 7 year old), and I'm a proud fiancee to their Father. However, I am currently battling depression yet again and I feel guilty for even having any kind of mental/emotional instability in the first place. I feel ashamed about it and I don't what to do...smh

Which is the best work from home job and from which company?

I have newly joined KGS but still at home location wfh, i was told by a colleague that they received an invite for a New year party for all KGS employees on 20th dec, does anyone receive it? Can I attend it from a different office than the base branch?

Does anyone have a consulting job or project that is remote or in the ATL area that is part-time or max 30 hours a week?

TDLR: leave current job of one month with good people for new job with higher pay and possibly greater career growth in hopes of good culture.

Recently started a new gig. Five weeks in. A recruiter for another job I had be interviewing for prior to said new job offered me the role. $5-10k higher, fully remote, bonus and equity.
Pros: higher pay, potential for greater career growth, in an industry I think I want to be in.
Cons: leave current job of 1 month, great people, lose work-life balance..

Medical Coder, recently got my Pediatric Coding Certification, and my pay increase was $0.50, putting me at $22.80. Not what I was expecting having dual certifications. I got a part-time job coding for another company and starting pay is more than what I make for the company I’ve been at for 5 years (coding for 1.5). Is this normal in a large health system? Full time position is in TX, I work remote.

Hiya! So I have been having hard time keeping my jobs lately due to transportation and more bc of the toxic work environment in retailing and restaurants . I have 5 years of customer service experience. I am currently on a 100% remote project and am on calls about 5-6 hours a day. I use my Apple AirPods so I can roam freely about the house while on calls. I’ve noticed over the last few weeks that I’ve developed a small blister like bump on each ear … hurts like hell with the AirPods. Anyone have any great tips aside from using over the ear headphones?

Which company should i join. I am thinking quantiphi as it has better exit opportunities (thinking to switch after 2 year) than IBM and as in IBM its a tool based job market might be limited but IBM as job security and better WLB?

Will working at startups hurt your career growth ?
I wanted to be fully remote and most of remote jobs are startups. This is going to be third startup in my profile. I don't see myself going to companies like tcs.
But is it sustainable in the long run ? Can I continue to work in startups ? Will this be bad for my career, should I try getting into bigger org ?

What to chose if company 1 is giving 9.5 lpa and timing 3- 11:30pm whereas another company 2 is giving 12 lpa + night allowance, timing 5 to 3 am which one do i chose . Company one is a big brand, stable, and well known in the market like big 4 level and location bglr , hyd , Mumbai option
Company two is a low to mid size company , reviews are not that good online , wfh for sometime and location bglr option. I have 2.4 YOE and want to work with a stable company and good comp. Advice?

At what point does WFH become NOT worth it for you, if ever? I’m WFH due to chronic illness so my circumstances might not be the same as yours. But I really wonder about this sometimes.
