What's next after healthcare for you all?

I applied for a job within my unit that I do not qualify for. Now, I have an interview for this job. Me knowing I do not meet most of the qualifications for this position has my imposter syndrome thinking I shouldn’t even do this interview because it would be a waste of time. Has anyone felt this way?

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. Now HR is restarting my ET as a new employee. I realize I left, but not on bad terms and I am an exemplar and respected employee. I thought I’d have the upper hand with the nursing shortage but I’m getting the “rules are rules” response. Help!?!

Got a campus round interview with McKinsey, but the recruiter didn’t specify which location and offered to connect for next steps. What should I expect in the phone call? Is it a round 0 interview or will this be nonevaluative? I specified 3 offices on my app (like everyone else) but said “open to all offices” in the post survey. What is the salary for Software Engineer position at Optum?

Got rejected from one of my desired tech companies, it's agitating but at least they didn't ghost me.

I have a lot of exposure to big tech and sp500 across my brokerage account and retirement accounts. I recently opened a Roth IRA and have 6k in it to invest. I know the default strategy is to invest in a fund that tracks sp500 but I do that everywhere else regularly. Is there anything else like VYM you recommend? I’m targeting dividend growth ones since it’s a Roth IRA ..

Any really impactful books that have helped you career-wise? Not necessarily consulting focused. In need of guidance and a new book so figured I'd kill two birds with one stone or whatever.

How hard is the path from lit to GC?

I’ve been out of work for a significant amount of time due to Covid decimating my industry. I’ve gone on many interviews and had a few final rounds. I finally received an offer today. The pay is more than I’ve ever made & team seems great. I just can’t help but feel a little disappointed bc it’s not the industry I was in before which was the whole reason I went to law school to begin with. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush, right? Anyone experience a similar situation? Happy you pivoted?
