Anyone here struggling to get new meetings? A thread for posting what services your company offers and maybe we can help make some connections to get into new accounts.
Hello everyone, appreciate the feedback and your thoughts. My company did not allow work from home, so I took fmla for 12 weeks. Upon returning, my roles have changed to chemical regulatory, vendor commissions and some account management. I am worried about my career, should I stick in chemical sales and look for another job or regulatory is lucrative field. I want to stay near technical field. Is it a boon or a punishment?
How documented and transparent is the performance evaluation process at your orgs? Do your orgs go out of their way to publish the process broadly to employees?
Is anyone noticing a trend toward offering part-time or contract roles to reduce risk/cost of bringing on full-time talent?
I let an employee know we would not be revisiting their sales commission plan mid year. They threatened to start looking for another job. How does one respond to that
Looking for feedback: In a leadership position with responsibility to direct sales strategies and enablement for a product category. My issue is that my new boss, who micromanages my every move, gave me a slap on the wrist for “breaking chain of command” to speak with my VP. Someone I already have a relationship/rapport with trying to get honest feedback on an initiative. Any suggestions on handling corporate politics with my boss? Previous boss allowed me to speak freely with all leaders.
Anyone willing to share their sales leadership incentives based on team goals? What’s the norm here?
Has anyone seen or discussed this Petition for SHRM must support Black Lives Matter & the LGBTQ community? I’ve grown increasingly concerned and disappointed in SHRM’s lack of vocal support for employment protections for LGBTQ+ and black and brown workers, especially as a black woman in HR. It seems like SHRM is overly focused on what is absolutely “legal” and not what is right. I’m of the opinion HR professionals must not only be “legal” but have a relevant and compassionate stance
Will Workday be more or less relevant to you in a few years? My org is looking at adopting Workday for HR and some FP&A purposes. We try to be a forward looking org and only adopt things that will be relevant a few years down the road. We've heard mixed things about Workday and I just want to hear from those that use it what you think. Will it be more or less relevant to your org a few years from now?
I just got fired from job as an Account executive at a company for not performing well enough after 3 months (Even though we are still in middle of pandemic in NYC).I want to get into SaaS sales soon. Does anyone have any advice on what do next? where I can find a good company that will invest in my growth & training? Or jobs for sales people that are flexible and have good work-life balance? Want to weigh my options before I jump in the next opportunity
I attended a webinar yesterday on writing inclusive job postings. I'm happy to say our organization had already started to implement most of the advice in that webinar and there were a lot of great ideas presented. One idea I'm still iffy about is that they recommended removing all bullet points from job postings and instead write things in paragraph-form. What do you think? Will we start to see a move away from bullet points in job postings? Is this something your company has implemented?
Putting together our strategy for next year and interested to hear what your big 3 challenges are that you see ( outside of continuing to navigate pandemic issues) ? Thanks
I’ve been struggling on whether or not I should talk to my boss about one of my assignments. I am an entry level HR analyst with one year of professional experience and she has tasked me with leading a strategic agency-wide project. This entails procuring a consultant, directing work of our senior analysts, leading a cross functional team to implement the project, point person, managing project timeline and deliverables, updating our policies and procedures to integrate the project, etc. To me, this is senior level work and should be done by the more senior analysts who have experience in this area. I understand it can be a great learning opportunity but feeling nervous. Thoughts?
Any east coast skiers here? I'm in the poconos on a last min ski trip and debating which mountain to head to. I'm with a friend and we're good. Not expecting much but just wanna have fun.
Is anyone else getting a “Payment Status Not Available” message from the IRS stimulus check tracker? Any idea what could be done to work that out?

Was mildly interested in an SAP role until I’ve been hearing that functional SAP roles are worse than Federal roles. Very low prestige.
Was laid off in April by midsize and have had few interviews in following months. Working with various recruiters yet still no traction. Didn’t go to top tier law school and graduated with 3.2 gpa yet have 3 years experience and being lawyer was 2nd career. Recently working with a boutique for per diem work who gave offer which is a lot lower than prior role (over $40k). Role would have no billables and practically 50% split—what are your thoughts?
Advice please! 9 weeks & haven’t told my team. When did you tell them? Is it unreasonable to ask for more frequent remote weeks? How to find out more abt maternity leave & logistics? Thank you!!

What does a "promote when ready" path mean at McKinsey? Looking at a consulting specialist role. Does this mean the position isn't up or out?

My long term mentor was just diagnosed with cancer and is at the hospital recovering from surgery. What can I send him to show genuine care and appreciation for everything he has done for me? Age ~50
I have a project and need someone who’s *strong* at articulate storyline. Please DM me for more information.
How come I am still stuck on my ex who couldn’t treat me nicely even when I finally met someone who potentially would and has almost all the qualities I would look for in a SO?
