Hey friends, I've been in sales for over ten years in retail/ hospitality.
I'm focusing my efforts to make a switch into tech sales and id like to work for AWS.
I completed a tech sales bootcamp and have purchased a couple books on sales methodology, more so enhancing sales + active listening skills.
If anybody would be willing to chat! I'd love more insight on roles Within AWS tech sales.
Care for a quick dm chat?
Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.
Hey! Is there any hiring managers looking for HR / Talent Acquisition candidates. I have a MBA in HRM, 2 years experience within HR, was on track to become an HRBP at Amazon but chose to go into to Talent Acquisition due to a toxic work environment. I’m looking for a new role and would to speak with someone regarding new opportunities or even to discuss some pointer on how to pivot into a new role!
Hi is anyone willing to explain to me what HR Strategy entails for an associate? Are hours long? Work stressful? How’re the exit ops?
Has anyone implemented management training . If so can you share which programs or systems where used.
Is anybody else having a really difficult time hiring for employees to work in the office full-time? My boss is against working remotely or offering a hybrid option. I’ve never had such a hard time filling roles. This includes finding a new in-house recruiter.
I currently work for a not for profit in Australia, but have recently realised there is no room for career progression at my organisation (I was hired as an admin and was promoted to TA within two months but that's about as far as this organisation can take me). I have no qualifications in HR but was hoping my experience would get me a position in another company with growth opportunity.
What would be the best way to make a move?
Good day everyone,
I'm a recent grad who landed in Canada with a small dream of becoming a human resource professional and work in corporate sector.
I'm trying to land on a job from last 10 months, after applying to 100s of jobs, been on so many interviews I am still not getting anywhere.
I've started to loose all hopes!
It is my humble request to all experienced people, If anyone could guide me in right direction that would be highly appreciated.
Looking to brainstorm a bit here: my fiancé is potentially going to start looking for a new role after tax season is over. He has about 3.5 years of experience as an account manager at an environmental tech company and then made a career switch to accounting at his family’s firm for 3 years. I think he would like to get back into sales/account management but looking to see what everyone’s advice would be in terms of type of roles and companies to go after!
If you were given a chance to change one decision you made in your life career-wise, what is it and why?
Does anyone have any experience in solar panel sales? I live in MN and was recently reached out to by a company called Everlight, Just wanted to see if anyone has any insight! Thanks
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
any other introverts in Sales?
tips on keeping up w/ extrovert peers & staying visible to leadership?
Hello! Is anyone here who is currently enrolled in Utel University? Or even planning to enroll yet? They are offering online classes available across different countries in the US, Asia, etc. I hope you could share your feedback or experience, please? Thank you!
Looking for a HR Coordinator/HR assistant Hybrid Role in London, WFH at least 2 days a week paying from £38K basic. I’ve applied for a few roles and completed a second stage (awaiting response). Does anyone know of any wonderful internal opportunities for me to explore. I’ve got 4 years of experience, in HR and L&D and graduated with a 1st BA Hons in Business Management with HR. TIA
How do you handle a toxic leader in dictatorship environment? A leader that cannot take feedback, but instead manipulate you and yell at you for not “knowing your audience”. Oh and the company is owned by himself and his wife.
I’d like to be prepared for the initial phone screen convo, which will only last 20-30 minutes. The JD shows the salary range as 110-130(USD) commensurate with experience, but I’m happy to land anywhere in that range—yet I don’t think it’s good to disclose that. How can I tactfully still talk to the recruiter about landing closer to 130? Not trying to be greedy, but certainly aiming high!
What's a good excuse/come back if a company calls you out for exaggerating/embellishing something on your resume?
Thoughts on membership clubs in DC? (I.e. george town, university, etc) A colleague mentioned the other day that he’s a part of a club and am now intrigued (not that I can get in). Recently moved back to the DMV and think I just miss socializing with like minded people/sense of community 🥲
This is how work/life feels these days.
I've been working really hard to support the people around me but lately I really don't feel like anyone supports me in return. I have been pretty open about my ongoing struggles - including self-harming behaviors - but no one checks in or ever asks how I'm doing. When I'm talking to my partner it's only about his stressors and what's wrong in his life, though I have said so many times how mentally unwell I feel. I am trying so hard not to seem self-centered but I just don't know what's wrong...
Hi everyone, I just finished my masters degree a few weeks ago, and I’m looking for a new role. I obtained a bachelors degree in 2011 however that school closed and did not share records with WV higher education comission, neither are they at student clearinghouse. The school was accredited, during my time then lost accreditation a year after. (Mountain State University). Can anyone recommend how to handle this with HR if they can’t verify one of my degrees? Thank you!
Anyone hiring SEs?
How are acquiring new clients
Anyone have good book recommendations? Looking for non-fiction that presents some sort of useful or new ideas, but also happy to try any fiction that’s worth it!
Favorite hacks for building team spirit in a remote company? We are DRAGGING. I have tried some meetings for hanging out, but I feel like it might just take up people's time and not sure it really does much.
About to move into more a more managerial role. CDs and other managers: what makes a successful leader/manager? What pitfalls do I need to be mindful of? Any books impact your style or approach?
DM for reference in Accenture.
Has anyone successfully managed to move from a niche in-house practice to a more generalist role? If so, can you provide any helpful tips to transition? I have started down a specialty that I fear will limit my mobility in the future and am looking for tips on how to not be pigeon-holed.
How much is a reasonable amount to gift your assistant prior to leaving the firm. For context, haven’t asked her to do anything more than expense a few items.
