For those of you who spent the time and money to get the PHR or SHRM certifications, do you feel that it actually strengthened your professional capabilities as on HR professional, or did you just do it to fit into the “HR Professional” crowd?
So, I'm really curious, for those of us who aren't essential workers, how are you handling return to work? Phases? 50% capacity? Self Identifying disclosures? Sanitization stations?
Looking for ideas on how other companies are celebrating and recognizing diversity holidays like LGBT pride month Juneteenth black history month women’s history month etc.Not just days off
I actually don’t know much about compensation increases that come with promotions. What does the typical % increase look like for an internal recruiter? Just trying to understand all of the things.
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Looking for a Copy Supervisor for our NJ team! Feel free to reach out if interested or apply below. workforcenow.adp.com/mascsr/default/mdf/recruitment/recruitment.html?cid=125a4952-3822-461d-b9d1-9d37079f32f7&jobId=381997&lang=en_US&source=CC2
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
Folks, I just got promoted and joined this group. How should I approach selling consulting services? I am delivering services and not had much success farming given the client environment. How can I start hunting? Any steps or tried-out resources I can leverage? Help out a fella trying to do his job better 🙏
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
CA Law question. What are you doing with arbitration agreements? Interested to hear from everyone, and from securities industry too! We didn’t hire since January, but want to start next year, and the whole AB 51 thing is confusing.
Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Hi there! I need some guidance. HR and global leadership rolled out some amazing new initiatives like not starting until 10 am on Mondays, no meeting Fridays and required 2 additional summer days a month. The problem is, my boss refuses to comply with the initiatives. He constantly scheduled meetings before 8 am on Mondays and after 7 pm on Fridays. He also doesn’t let me take time off. Should I go to HR? I’m really not one to complain but I’m tired and extremely burnt out. Thanks for your help!
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
Hi everyone! I am a mid-level freelance graphic designer, 26y/o who has been working independently for the past 3 years. I’m interested in leveling up, either to a senior design role or art director role at a design agency and looking for feedback on my current website before reaching out to studios. Appreciate any suggestions or thoughts. THANK YOU
Jesus I wouldn’t qualify for level 1 in NYC. None of the MBB would qualify. This law makes no sense
PDX: I’m in an unhealthy agency & it’s finally become unsafe for me w/ HR. Would a person who has navigated racial weirdness in this town be willing to let me take you out to coffee + chat for a bit?
Laid off. Applying to jobs. Besides networking, what are the top job search platforms/websites? There’s LinkedIn, indeed, monster and Glassdoor. Anything else I’m missing or which is the “best”?
Does anyone have experience working in CFO services? (A&M, FTI, etc) What are the standard exit opportunities and how is the day to day work?

Starting to think about business school. I recently bought a house (DC area) so I can’t really up and move for a school. I’m thinking about Columbia’s EMBA-America’s program. Does anyone have any insights into that program, or Executive MBAs vs a full-time MBA? Thank you!
Recently got an offer from EY for $106k base & $8k sign-on bonus. It’s for a senior 2 position in internal audit. Is this amount low? Should I re-negotiate? What are salaries like for senior 2?
Trying to understand if a top MBA is right for me. 2 yrs A at D, going into 1 yr at Apple. Very happy with my comp, and personally I don’t see a barriers to go up the corporate ladder. The big interest for MBA is to finally go to a target school and “go to school for the first time”. To meet the likeminded cohort who will all do something cool eventually and build my network with that demographic.
Currently interviewing with KPMG and D for experienced hire.Don’t mind traveling and the pay increase would be substantial at both. Any suggestions on which would be better long term growth in tech?

Pretty sure my managing partner just caught wind of me applying to other firms even though I used a recruiter. I know it happens, but how do I prepare for the potential blowback? What do I say if he asks about it?
