Who has more earning potential: Creatives or Producers? Talking about two aspects: mid-career salary and lifetime earning potential? I feel like producers peak earlier but creatives have higher max?

What should I be reading to keep up to do date with new (good) ads. Adfreak? Other?

In a typical advertising creative team structure, who vets the new hires? ECD? CD? Trying to get some clarity as I work at a small shop with CD being the highest title.

Looking to get back into SaaS sales after a few year hiatus. Any tips or recommendations to ramp myself back into SaaS sales? Any podcast or books, etc?

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

Hi HR Professionals! I am revising our current employment application form. Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?

Is how nicely the deck is designed really that important?

Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). I did that for almost 2 years before making the switch. I miss sales, though. Does anyone have any connections to companies looking? I have also considered a sales analyst role considering that I am moderately versed in Salesforce and have worked both the customer facing and sales generating side. TIA!

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). Someone told me today that they just assume I’m not interested because I always seem to “run” but I’m not sure how to bring up problems/feelings otherwise. How do you approach these hard questions?

I work in sf and Nyc and have now saved enough where I’m wondering if it makes sense to buy rather than rent an apartment as an investment. Tricky part is I’m still quite young and this wouldn’t be my lifelong/family home. Have also considered buying in less metropolitan areas and renting them out for passive income. Curious if anyone’s gone through this process before and have thoughts ?
