Is ServiceMax a popular/essential skill in today’s CRM & Field Service industries? How does it compare to FSL? Are there plenty of SVMX projects at your firm? Is it worth getting the cert?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Hi! For the folks who have recently took the SHRM-CP exam this year, how would you describe the test and any tips you can provide would be helpful!
Hey guys! Our teammate is going through a pretty tough time, I wasn’t sure if this would be appropriate to post, but seeing as though this is a sales group, and my man Braxton is a sales beast... I thought I could try posting and apologize later. If you can give please do, if you can share please, if you can pray please, please do. We’re so close to getting his expenses covered, and after all he’s done to show up to our team.. I’m trying to show up to him in my fullest capacity. Thank you!!
Has anyone taken the PHR exam lately? What was the best test prep IYO? Online on demand , online live classes? Are the practice exams worth the cost?
How much value do companies place on HR experience in a specific industry? My thought is that HR is HR wherever you go, and it shouldn’t be difficult to switch industries (e.g. manufacturing to financial services), mid- to late-career. But what has been your experience?
I’m looking for an outside sales rep in Milwaukee for a SaaS company. My top rep last year cleared $800k before stock. If you know of anyone or think you’re a good fit, let me know!
I’m not happy where I’m at, my abilities aren’t being maximized as I’m spread thin, and I know I’m being undervalued. Recently graduated and in property management w/ 3-4 years sales experience. Currently on the hunt for Sales/Account Management roles leaning more towards consumer goods, then tech. Any advice?

How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
I recently started at a larger software company as an AE. As I’m getting more into the process, I’m finding things odd. Like, cold calls and emails are metrics I’m judged on more than closed won business. I know that’s part of the job but it seems strange I’m judged on it so heavily. And, I seem to be the first real outside AE hire as everyone else seems to have been promoted up from SDR roles, including all of my direct management. I’m questioning if I made the right move. Stick it out or look?
Any strategies or resources you could recommend for getting rid of the dreaded annual performance review (or at least lessening the dread) and creating a more effective year round performance feedback system? Our review is currently tied to our end of year bonuses and merit increases, so not sure I could get rid of it entirely. This would be for hourly and management employees, all working on-site.
What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.

I’ve got ~2 YOE at a boutique consulting firm and ~2 YOE at a tier 2 consulting firm (OW, LEK, EYP, ATK). Any chance to enter MBB at a non entry level position, even though I’m only 1 role above entry level at my current firm?
On a personal level, I don’t always agree with my clients. Just the nature of repping big corporations. But nothing gets me fully aligned with my client like opposing counsel being a pain in the ass.
Going through interview process at @ Capgemini for their financial services tech consulting practice (Engagement Director role) and will likely get an offer soon due to the demand. Have a few of ques. 1) what’s the hierarchy in the firm? Is Engagement director role one level below Partner? And is partner and sr director role same? 2) what’s the path to partner like or next level like at Cap? 3) asking for a 25% base pay hike but also keen on waiting for aug 9 comp statement. Quick question on Personal Capital — I just downloaded and set up the app. It looks like only 3 months of my Chase credit card transaction history will import to the expenses. Is this right? I can’t see a way to get any more data than that, which is fine, but just wanted to make sure this is normal. Thanks!
How do i get my students to engage more in live online lessons? Obviously, I can grade them on participation, but are there any other creative ideas to actually get them to WANT to participate?
