Any tips on what I should do with the extra I have left over every month? Hello everyone! I am looking for advice. I am a C&B Team lead ( about 15 years of experience) but all my experience was in Russia. Now I got married and moved to UK , plus we have got a baby in 2019 so now I am looking for a job in UK having 3 years of career break. Although, I am getting CIPD lvl 7 diploma this year. I am not ready for team leader's role now . So my question is about HR area, where could I find a job with my only Russian experience? HR generalist, C&B analyst, HR BP, recruiter?

Last night, I got a nastygram from a client who basically wanted to forego due diligence in a major buyout we’re helping him with. “Stop requesting documents and just draft me my docs.” But we literally don’t know who owns what right now, terrible corporate records. This morning, the partner told me he’ll probably fire this client, big pat on the back.

Anyone else frustrated by colleagues abusing WFH? I was hoping COVID would show that we’re capable of working from home as an option, but partners are getting annoyed that people are doing things like grocery shopping and getting their oil changed in the middle of the workday.

Team is already talking about eating hours. My utilization is down cause I was in unassigned for a month in Dec/Jan. What's worse pissing off the partner or having a low utilization? -staff 1

Second year associate, started at a new firm recently and got put on a fast paced transaction. Made mistakes (drafting errors and tardiness to a call) that feel irredeemable… although no one has scolded me yet. As we move into next phase of the transaction the senior associate on the deal asked to meet 1-1 to discuss “logistics” and “my time/role” on the transaction. . .

Any advice on how to handle in the instance that I receive negative feedback during this conversation?

How does NY (or any other states that tax income) enforce taxes on nonresidents? Assume the taxpayer does not file state return with NY and does not have NY on W2.

Seems NY would have no way of targeting said taxpayer for audit. Thoughts?
