Keep Going 💪

Hi fishes,I have around 5.2 yrs of hands on exp in data engg. and able to clear service based companies interviews easily. Now I want to switch to product based companies as I am looking for some good work, good salary but I am not really strong in dsa as it's not part of my daily work.I don't really use trees and graphs as part of my daily work.
How shall I switch to product based companies considering DSA is their 1st round itself.what level of DSA can I expect from companies for data engineer position?

Probably depends on location and how well-staffed they are. Better than public hours I would imagine
It's like anything in life. To truly have the best experiences you're gonna have to work hard. I'm sure it's not slave like hours like B4, but I'm sure there's definitely times where they have 60-80 hour weeks because of project deadlines. The difference is that there's much more upside working in VC. It's an extremely hot space right now and you gain exposure to all the companies that you are working with. You should start seeing significant bonuses earlier in your career vs B4 where the payoff doesn't really come until partner. Assuming it's a reputable VC firm with a solid reputation I'd seriously consider it if you know B4 is not for you LT.
Vc like venture capital? You'll work a ton and possibly travel a lot. Its not a 9-5 job
I've always been interested in VC/HF accounting jobs. Prob leads to some $$$ down the line
Big raise?
The job could suck or it could be awesome. Consider: 1. People-who you work with is everything. 2. Learning/career advancement opportunities-where will you be one year from now if you take this job? Where could you go five years from now from this firm? What are they going to teach you right off the bat so you can do your job well? 3. Compensation and benefits-not just base salary, also medical, PTO/sick leave, flexible work situations
^the rewards have got to be way better than public though no? Hit it big in public and maybe you make $1M a year once you're a seasoned partner 20 years down the line. Hit it big in VC and you're Mitt Romney rich.
