Sleep with them early and often.

HAHA this is good!
Figure out what kind of person they are. I have had some really friend, not as friendly as mentioned already here, and others that were extremely professional. Sometimes finding one on one time to goal set or ask questions can be the easiest way to go.
I think it comes down to common sense. Get your work done on time, do a good job, and don't be a pain in the neck. Someone early on told me to be the kind of person who makes other people's jobs easier. In other words, don't leave any loose ends that someone else has to clean up. That's also a pretty good strategy.
Communicate with them so there are not questions as to what you are doing, what your manager wants you to do, and how you can support each other. Then remember you are at work, and you are paid to do the things your manager requests.

Try to relate to them in some way and have a conversation about something other than work.
