Hello Fishes 🐟🎏
I am rigorously looking for a job from past few months and tried applying many opportunities i came across, but everywhere I receive is Rejection or No response at all. I am not sure what needs to be added to my profile to get more attention or is it really something because of my Notice period which is 90 days at HCL.
Tech Stack : Azure Cloud IAAS & PAAS.
YOE : 6 years 1month+
Currently persuing Devops tools and automation

Kab tak aayega yaar yeh appraisal
I’m currently working in Citi as an AVP in Mumbai for the past 9 months.. due to personal reasons I wanted to move back to Pune (I have worked in Pune for last 8 years before coming to Citi) so I landed up with an offer from HSBC into Wholesale IT (GCB5).
My current Fixed CTC in Citi is 26.5 excluding PF and Retrials and HSBC IT has offered me 30.5 for the same and said they cannot increase further as am moving jobs in after 9 months which is too early..
Questions -
Have I been low balled?

Marriage for women = feeling of security
Marriage for men = unnecessary risk and liability
Also, contracts mean you have to do something. We naturally resist things we have to do. So from a psychological standpoint, marriage sets you up for failure from the beginning.
You can have a strong and healthy committed relationship without contract. And in fact, you will be far happier because you don’t have the looming contract forcing you to do it, but instead, you are both choosing the other and allowing the other to choose you back of their free will.
But don’t take my word for it, simply look at the 50% of failed marriages, and of those that stayed together, the 50% that are miserable, and if the 50% who claim to be happy, the 50% who are lying or have just settled, and of the 50% who are in bliss, how long will the euphoric feeling last until they no longer value what is due to them by contract?
Sheesh K1, it’s as if you’ve been married several times and you’ve been dumped every time.
I don‘t want everyone to think that I‘ll be pregnant in no time. That seems to be the only thing people can think about once they learn that you are about to get married. I don‘t even want kids.
Wow KPMG way to generalize.
For us it was taxes
Money
He’s in grad school with a few more years to go, so we’re doing distance right now and don’t see the point of getting married now vs. later. I also can’t imagine myself getting married before 28 at the very least! Need to feel more settled and like I know what I’m doing in life before I get married
I want us both to be as close to 100% sure before making the move
Money. Our families don't have the funds for a decent sized wedding (~$10k) but will need one due to the number of people that'll probably come. Thus, we are preparing as if we have to pay for it all (wedding+honeymoon) and anything that we don't spend will be saved.
Like how young?
Just wanted to make sure it was a good fit (read: I wanted to sleep around longer until it got boring.)
Because we met only three months ago
K1 meant : I don’t have a SO and I really liked ‘up in the air’
My wife would take me to the cleaners. (I'm kidding)
Like most things in life, money is delaying, or preventing in general, a lot of happy moments/milestones.
Location( he needs to move out east) and families (religion issues and looks issue) and health (want to lose weight before we get married and be in decent shape) helps w family issue as well
Not a good tax move for either of us
He is still in medical school and I am going back to school after he finishes so we will get married after I graduate
My SO and I are 24 and have dated for 5 years, waiting until 27/28 because our families think we are still too young
We both have debt that we can get out of in the next two years. Decided to not bring that into a marriage right off the bat
Same boat as B1 - he’s in grad school and potentially getting a PhD. We’ve been doing distance for awhile now and it works for us. We also need to wait awhile to get loans paid off, buy new cars (both driving cars 10 years+, & save. We want to travel more and we want big wedding. Financially the big wedding doesn’t make sense for us right now.
