Evening! Dog owners who live in condo rentals downtown.. did you tell your landlord you had a dog? I’m in a rental with a lease that says no pets (i’m sure a common clause?) and i didn’t have any pets moving in. 6 months in, i got a puppy lol. I don’t want to invite potential conflict by updating my landlord, my lawyer partner says the no pets clause is void in toronto anyway - but I worry about a bad landlord reference if they find out i.e come for repairs.

So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Personally I am happy and love the work but fear for my career progression.
