McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!
I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

Hey man, congratulations! Here are a few that were very helpful for me:
- Keep H2O2 handy in house with clean gauge and other first aid material.
- Learn basic first aid if not already known
- Find a post natal masseuse in your area with nursing credentials
- Source nutritious food and avoid sugary items
- Book the best dang therapist you can find. Your insurance max is already met, so it’ll be free for the rest of the year but be quick since just a month is left. PPD is real and dangerous.
- Give her as much rest as possible. No trying to get back in shape until at least three months
The cuts may need cleaning and sanitizing sometimes.
So we live in a townhome and they don’t tell you that’s a horrible idea beforehand. Basically spent my paternity leave as her waiter running up and down to get whatever she needed from our 3rd floor bedroom. I put a mini fridge in our bedroom which was great for dropping off sandwiches, storing Gatorade and also her breast milk. Added a bigger trashcan in our bathroom to get rid of the “medical waste.” Attempted to preemptively place things in the shower where she might need them as we have a seat in our shower. Kept the bassinet close by (used a Snoo). Hope that helps. Good luck.
We live in a townhome and our bedrooms are all on the third floor. Good call on the mini fridge and bigger trash can, thanks!
No sex
Totally with the statement were more obvious
Be patient before getting intimate again and make sure she's comfortable first. Also, do all the literal heavy lifting and be willing to deliver things to her from around the house so she doesn't have to walk around too much (water bottle, phone, etc.). You got this!
Been through this 2x. Do whatever is asked of to minimize the effort your spouse needs to exert. Don’t be shy about having family over to help or hiring help (if you can afford it). I took 2 weeks PTO both times just to make sure my wife and child were OK. Then I took my parental leave later. It’s hard but not as hard as childbirth
