“Tone policing is defined as "a conversational tactic that dismisses the ideas being communicated when they are perceived to be delivered in an angry, frustrated, sad, fearful, or otherwise emotionally charged manner." Managers striving to create a workplace based on equity and inclusion must understand how tone policing silences members of marginalized groups and allows discrimination to persist.” https://www-businessinsider-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.businessinsider.com/how-to-identify-and-help-stop-tone-policing-in-workplace-2020-8?amp
Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Maybe it’s just those on your team? I know my peers in my start class and I all work our asses off on anything we’re assigned, so I would disagree with this assessment if you were on my team, but I can’t speak for yours.
Yup. We have a guy that does a shitty job of anything he doesn't feel like working on to deter people from asking him to do it again. He's basically selecting what to work on and the higher ups are falling for it. They actually see him as an asset for doing a good job on the stuff he does like to work on. 😒
Let me guess. Are you with EY?
Doesn’t every single person say this every single year?
It depends on what you mean by "entitled." If they're demanding to audit more high-risk, complex, and interesting areas, then of course that's not reasonable. But if they simply want to be provided the idiosyncratic background knowledge necessary to complete their tasks and be allowed to ask reasonable questions about their audit steps, that's not entitlement.
