Perhaps make a broad pointed statement that as your goal you want all the individuals on your team feel supported, heard and seen. Broadly tell the team to check PTO as its the end of the year and they could take a day or half day. A genuine supportive smile with eye contact goes a long way without saying anything political.

Let them know you’re there to listen, encourage respectful conversations, and provide a safe space without expressing your stance. Compassion without taking sides goes a long way!
Consider directing them to an EAP and notifying management that you may have a potentially unstable employee. This type of irrational behavior frequently precedes dangerous workplace incidents. You have to be concerned about your other employees as well.

This is not going to be a popular answer. Tell them that although you understand their concerns, the workplace cannot be a source of political anxiety. They need to leave it at home. What I am saying in my head though is “ Grow up! You cant always get what you want.“

Agree . I'll never understand how anyone is so emotionally invested in politics that it leads to issues at work.
Time off for self-care is a great idea. Encourage them to engage in activities they enjoy after work and on days off. Try to show them some hope and security by exploring and pointing out aspects of their lives that will remain stable, no matter who is in power. I'm guessing these employees are not at risk of losing their jobs because of political power, they need to hear that.
